Right on. Are these songs he's already registered online? I'm just curious as to when the others were composed that weren't part of the Paper Cuts/Wasteland idea. Some songs from the 05-08 era would be amazing. I don't know what was in his water then, but we need to find it and spike the water supply in his area of California. Yep, they're all registered from last year with the exception of Pulse, which hasn't been BMI'd yet. Interestingly, Highways is a song and Low Days is another song. Rocket was cowritten with Jude, while all the others are Jason solo. Survive was the first one he registered as a solo artist, back in July 2016, followed shortly by Forever and Never ( see here for the breakdown). I read recently in the updated Lifehousemusic.com bio for the band that Jason will be releasing quite a bit more material than I think any of us realized. Oh happy day! |

OK, thanks to Christy, I changed my mind. The song is beautiful. YOu can interpret it in a variety of ways and the intro really reminds me of the revolution cry, fka song days

I never thought of this one from a Christian angle, but now that I do that seems to make the most sense...from a normal gf/bf angle it seems a little creepy/stalker ish but fits beautifully as a Christian song.
Seems like the comments so far on his fb post are leaning my way... I love this one & still stand behind my first comments: this would've been perfect for the radio!

I think the full collection will be released as an album this month, but I've not seen any indication that there will be a physical release. I believe only one thousand copies were printed and they're all stashed away in Jason's garage. |

I absolutely love Pulse. The lyrics really resonates with my situation at the moment. And the melody is great too. My absolute fav among other solo songs.

So the first half of Pulse reminds me of Nick Drake musically.
The rest of the song...wow. I've alluded to the medical issues I'm facing on here before. Those of you who are friends with me on social media, I've explained it there. But it's a degenerative brain and nervous system deal and I'm living hell on earth basically. But then a song like this comes along out of nowhere and it's like how I felt when I first heard "I have felt the same as you" 16 years ago on Simon. This song is very hopeful. Getting out of bed for me is painful, and it doesn't always happen quickly- but I do.
There have been some great solo songs released, but this is the first one that points back to what I love about this band- putting words and emotion down to music and lyrics that I can't find to describe.
And I don't want to have this turn into a discussion about anything other than the song. I know you all mean well, you don't have to say if. We're like family on here and family doesn't have to say nice things. They're implied by being around.
So, Pulse...holy crap is it good.
