I can relate to a lot you are saying..but I do love only you're the one a lot, as well as moveonday*even if it couod be more interesting than it is now* and gotta be tonight.

*lol* okay now that I've listened to all the 14 songs again and again and again and..... all I can say is "What the fuck?!" - That is neither positive nor negative.... I'm really not sure what to think *lol* because I can't see a concept.... there is one song and then there is another and so on and all of them are different ..... I don't know if that's good or bad *lol*

Also, regarding Serge. There's absolutely no need to thank him. Yeah he was in the band for a while and played a role in the first couple of records. That was nearly ten years ago though. I read the argument of, "there wouldn't be a Lifehouse had Serge not been involved", well, maybe there wouldn't be a band now had he not stepped aside.
Whatever happened there is over and looooong past water under the bridge.

That! also Escalibur: saying the album will flop because it's bad: it's your opinion that it's bad..the rest of the world might be in love with it..not saying that that will happen, but it could..it could flop it could do well..but I disagree that it's a bad album..
musically, I like the rocky edge that some of the songs have..lyrically I like some of the songs..some songs could have been SOOO Much more, because they start out cool, but then become repetitive up to a point where I skip to the next song. nobody listen for isntance, could have been a super interesting song..now it just becomes boring:/

If I don't hear the rest of Aftermath pretty soon, I think I'm gonna burst!!!! I really love that one. In my dreams, I think that should be a Grammy winning song ... and I can already picture Lifehouse with a Big Grand piano, and orchestra, and a big ole gospel choir in the background. It's that epic sounding to me from just listening to the clip. Plus I think it is super relevant considering all the aftermath that people are dealing with all over the world not only in their surroundings but also on the inside. I practically had a heart attack when I heard the full song of Aftermath because the picture in my head was actually TRUE! There is a choral component to the song. I forgot I had said this earlier before I heard the whole song. There was no way for me to know that it was coming. Sometimes that kind of thing makes me feel like I'm in the twilight zone or something. LOL That being said... meet you all in the Aftermath! <3 |

Don't really know what to think yet of the new album ... Aftermath is the best song on it, that's clear, but the rest ... I think I need to listen again to form a good opinion.

I think more of you should give the album a real chance and listen to it without having the picture of what it should be in the back of your heads and just let go and enjoy it.
I think lyric-wise some of the songs could have been so awesome, but they're not, but there are several gems on this records and all in all it is a GOOD album that I truly enjoy listening.

Even when I went into it objectively (or as much as possible) and with an open mind I still didn't think there was much to hold on to. Sorry. I really want to like it, but the lack of lyrical content and the repetitiveness of the songs just don't work for me. I'm glad there are people who enjoy it, but both subjectively and 'objectively' I don't have the album in very high regards.

nobody is telling you to like it..if the feeling is not there.it's not..I can imagine that makes you a bit sad (since I also feel a bit like that) but it is what it is:p
