I am in class until 2:50, of course I find this stuff out now!! Something tells me that if I were to turn up my volume on my laptop to listen to the snippets, my professor would be very displeased....especially if he is in the middle of a lecture, but Lifehouse is more important.

Here's my take on Almeria: Aside from the two singles which are way to radio friendly, this album is definitley my 2nd favorite album of all time (NNF is #1 of course). I had to really focus on this being just an "album" and not a "Lifehouse" album because then I say, it's not like NNF or SCF... this album is fantastic. I'm so glad I bought Bundle 1 now after months of regret (I didn't care for SaM myself ) 1 Gotta Be Tonight: Great album opener. I feel that "urgency" in this song that Jason likes to mention in interviews. 2 Between the Raindrops: eh.. Pop. 3 Nobody Listen: at least they kept the two super-radio friendly songs together 4 Slow Motion: slow ballad 5 Moveonday: If "Who We Are" was mixed with southern rock 6 Only You're the One: Jason really kills this. Amazing. Simple, but one of my favorites. 7 Where I Come From: I like the chorus, again, simple. 8 Right Back Home: The furthest from anything they've every done. Southern rock/classic rock. Love the guest vocals on this one (pretty sure it's Peter Frampton) 9 Barricade: very countryish.. Reminds me of Randy Travis a little 10 Aftermath: A true piano tune... reminds me a little of "Five for Fighting". A great album closer. 11 Lady Day: First thing that popped in my mind was Five for Fighting's "Policeman's X-Mas Party" 12 Pin's & Needles: Hard to pin this one to a word (pun intended ;-D) 13 Rolling Off the Stone: Different, but excellent! 14 Always Somewhere Close: Safetysuit sound. Great second album closer (bonus track). I heard a falcetto in the second verse and loved it (33s into preview)! ;-D All in all (another pun, sorry I'll quit!) my favorite tracks right now are: Moveonday, Only You're the One, Right Back Home and Aftermath. The rest are excellent too. No doubt this will produce some great stuff for the guys (then again, most of these songs are literally too good for today's mainstream radio/top 40).

I don't really know what to think of it until I hear the whole album. Aftermath sounds like the Lifehouse we know. But the rest... well surprise surprise! Jason's vocals are so different. So far Moveonday is the most intriguing one to me . With "Only you're the one" I had to think of Bon Jovi, have no clue why. "Slow motion' reminds me a bit of the Doors. Lifehouse on LSD trip? Well I can only say that Almeria will give us something to discuss for long winter evenings...

It is definitely different. I do hear some 'old' Lifehouse in very few of them, which is fine. I am excited about this album, country never was my taste, still isn't but oh well. I won't get the 2nd single, I will just wait until the album is released in like 3 weeks from now.
'Only You're the One' I can see being the 3rd single.

I will NOT listen to any of the snippets *lol* but I'm excited to hear the new stuff..... and a bit scared coz "between the raindrops" is a song that bores me to hell - "nobody listen" sounds better to me, but doesn't sound like the lifehouse I luv....but we will see.....

So far only Right Back Home, Moveonday & Aftermath stand out to me. The other songs aren't really giving me much yet, but I'm holding out on the full songs cause Lifehouse usually catches me with the bridge, not the standard verse-chorus-verse-chorus routine

I actually don't really have an opinion..... things always change when I hear a whole song, that's always my favorite part of a new album - you instantly cling to a song, then after a while, it changes and you cling to another song. My other favorite band ever is Linkin Park and EVERY new album, they change their sound and fans flip out. So I'm used to it. *L* But I kinda liked Right Back Home, reminds me of Delta Rae's Bottom of the River.
Nothing jumped out that I clung to, but none stood out that I hate. So that's a plus! Hahah. I already pre-ordered from their site anyway! And I liked the bonus tracks, but I've noticed every band/artist, my faves always tend to be the bonus ones...
