So how can you tell that he is using Autotune? On what songs? It would be a shame if it was all of them but I just don't hear it on the two singles...maybe I can't tell. I don't know. - Gotta Be Tonight - Only You're The One (probably the worst one) - Lady Day - Pins & Needles (I was missing LH's tremolo so bad but not in this way) - Always Somewhere Close There might be even more. Only You're The One is not that bad song but autotune destroys it. Guitar sounds pretty good but the whole package is kind of meh. This record could sound so much better without Jude Cole and his Logic Pro skills. No I'm not happy with production of this record neither with two previous ones. :/

I'm much happier with the new snippets ... it starts to make more sense now, not such a mess of sounds anymore. I was a bit worried with what I heard before.

I know nothing about autotune..but I like Jason's voice on the record so far.. I do agree with Jude cole's influence (not only his..I guess more in general)

My opinion hasn't changed very much to be honest. Perhaps taste has something to do with it too, but many of the songs still sound a little boring and uninspired to me. Maybe it needs to grow on me, but so far I'm still very disappointed. I expected more. There are a few songs that sound very, very promising, but the majority of the songs really don't make me feel very much, wich saddens me a little as Lifehouse was always the band to turn to when needed. My suspicion is that this album isn't going to be able to do that for me.

I do kinda wish they had recorded more songs like Aftermath. That's the only one that sort of feels honest to me.

The record does NOT sound any better or promising after those new clips. Aftermath sounds like the only song which is not raped by producer and Logic Pro.

I do not feel that that is true..I like about 5 songs on the album A LOT..but it saddens me that I am not the only one who sort of lost the feeling that I can turn to the music when I need it..I think many of the songs sound less profound than what I got from Lifehouse before..It used to be really special, and I feel at this point that some songs are, but most are just songs, good songs..but just that.

Just to clarify, I may sound negative. But that's not my intention. I still feel very fondly about Lifehouse and everything it brought me in terms of music, comfort, memories, experiences and new friendships. I really do cherish that with all I have, but the direction they have taken on the last few albums, culminating in Almeria, doesn't set them apart from other bands for me and I miss feeling that connection with the music that inspired me and made Lifehouse special for me.
So Lifehouse as a band and as a journey (for lack of a better word) are still very much important to me. But I just feel disappointed with the new album and that is what I am voicing. I mean no disrespect for the band, but I am critical of the product they are selling. Regardless, I still bought it, because I do support the band.

I agree with Koen and Joyce. Although I'm not that disappointed now, but I share the feeling something important is missing.
I am just wondering how the songs from Almeria will sound live and if they won't become a burden too heavy to carry on tour.

They certainly can't afford for this album to do "just okay". One thing I noticed is that nothing really stands out as a single or something that would do well on radio. Even Raindrops didn't make a good single IMO. A couple of the songs kinda sound like they were written for radio (I'm looking at you "Gotta Be Tonight", "Only you're the One") but even those songs don't sound like they would do particularly well.
