...it's sad that we don't get something like that anymore. *Sigh* I know. I am wondering if they will do the same thing they did for S&M with this album dealing with releasing a normal cd and a 2 disc cd. I liked going out to different places (Best Buy, Wal-mart, Circuit City, Target) and buying the albums for different bonus tracks for Who We Are. However, Idk if I would do it for this album lol. I need to hear some snippets at least. I wanted a little more songs from the S&M bonus cd to be honest.

What I love about the first two albums is this sense of loneliness and isolation. Many of the songs are a sort of self-analysis. I like songs like that. And looking back, the reason those songs were so good was because Jason was young and trying to figure out who he was and dealing with the loneliness of becoming an adult. I'm still in that era of my life, so I go back to those songs, and can't believe how spot on they are. The songs now, while still dealing with negative emotion, ring more "content" vibes (in my opinion). But if you look at their lives, I feel they are all in a good place. Family, friends, success. All positive. I've thought this for years, but once an artist becomes "happy" with life, I feel their art suffers. EX: I was worried that the new Evanescence album wouldn't be as good because Amy got married after the second album, and therefore might write "happier" sounding songs. Luckily, she still has dark material to draw from. But this is just me. I tend to like dark material, soul-searching, self-analyzing songs. And I still pick it out with Lifehouse. Speaking of live, I have to say they're better live in recent years. I never saw them live back when the first two albums came out (which makes me sad, because then I'd have a better shot of hearing SCF songs). But from watching footage, the main difference is Jason. Back then, he was stiff. Barely moved, and his diction in songs wasn't so great. Now he gets into the songs. He moves around the stage. He feels every lyric. I've been fortunate enough to see some of their best performances over the past five years. I come away feeling emotionally cleansed with chills.

I come away feeling emotionally cleansed with chills. I couldn't agree more. I really enjoy their concerts just like Matt Nathanson!
