Here's an interview with Jason, where he addresses something mentioned earlier in this thread: lifestyle.inquirer.net/47445/catching-up-with-lifehousesummary for those that don't want to click: -As of now, Jason has reached out and helped Colton on Colton's upcoming CD, but a collaboration for an LH album is possible (nothing in the works yet, so the picture was in deed, for Colton's CD). - They address the whole "christian label" since Colton has that stigma -- he gives the typical answer of we encourage everybody to take what they can get out of the music -- spiritual or not. -Musical direction and film inspiration: "Personally, I’ve been inspired by film music, so I think that on this new album there are two or three tracks that kind of bring an orchestral feel to an actual pop-rock song structure, which is a really, really nice hybrid. I think we’re really just kind of going in this new direction and it sounds really fresh and new for us, so we really like the progress of that."

I honestly don't mind S&M. I was disappointed, it seems every album since SC they have been going away (definitely lyrically ) from how they use to sound. I am fine with change, however I don't relate spiritually to a lot of their new songs as compared to their older ones. I sometimes prefer the extra bonus tracks that you can get rather than some of the actual tracks that are on the albums. I will still appreciate them, and they are amazing live and very nice people. I will always support them, I just have a kind of bad feeling about this next album. If it's going the way I think....it may be really different for even my taste, but only time will tell. As long as Jason doesn't curse in any songs, then I am happy. I like that about them, they don't need to curse. The fact that he said hell in two different songs, annoyed me. I don't think there are any more. I can't think off hand. I could agree with this.

prsonally, I do not think hell in lifehouse's context is a curse...
do agree with the bonus tracks sometimes being more profound than the tracks on the albums. but I find that S&M actuallyhas a few songs that reach that level too.

I don't have anything against 'hell' and swearing if it is used properly. Not just because 'hey I can say f*ck and hell'.

I don’t think that working with Colton has to be a bad thing. I’m not a fan of Colton’s voice, nor am I a fan of the music that AI contestants get out there. But I think working together with Colton can actually be a good thing. Colton is a fan of the song Everything (which is pretty old school LH) and he is very religious. This may just renew the spirituality that LH used to have in their songs. And all the chaos surrounding AI and Colton may act as a reminder for the band and their earlier years. I know I’m totally speculating here, but I’m hopeful that Colton brings inspiration, like some of you have mentioned About “When Fallen Angels Fly”: I like the title… for a boyband, but naaah too tacky for LH. Thanks for the interview! I find myself a bit excited about the film music thing. I really like film music and orchestral stuff, so I’m looking forward to see what LH comes up with.

One thing I don't like about them is not to have any negative opinions about anything. 'Nothing's perfect' right? Yes it is safe not to say anything you dont need to but still. So we agree at least on this Maybe that's why I enjoy Bryce's tweets, he's himself there and says if he doesn't likes something. Dunno, I just never saw them like that. And someone mentioned LH not cursing, but being bothered by the word "hell". Really? I think "hell" is still a very nice way of not cursing. I personally wouldn't mind them cursing in a song, if it fits the song, but I think LH will never be that band that curses in songs. But as private people they do curse and I like that, it makes them just normal people and no saints, but I am someone that does curse, so I can see that someone that doesn't curse doesn't like that, yet it's still no reason to get offended by it (saw already few times, that fans got offended by their cursing).

I am not offended. i think you all don't understand what I meant. I just mean that for Lifehouse, it was a shock to me, I personally wouldn't have used it. Matt Nathanson never curses in his songs, but when he sings live...wow lol. I didn't like how Nine Days started using F*** in some songs when they never did before. Hell isn't a "curse" word really or at all, but to me, it didn't have to be used for a Lifehouse song. That's all. I mean, I can still play the songs on my radio show, so I'm good P.S. I do curse....lol

I didn't meant you, but I did saw fans that got offended by that. And yes Matty, he's one of a kind.

I have a feeling that Jason is actually the only one of them who actually likes the guy.
