dont all shoot me at once but i kind of like mccain on a lot of his stances, and i did vote for him in the nj primary... the only thing i disagree with mccain on, is his gay marriage stances... i support gay marriage, and so does obama, but that's only one of the isses... there's never the perfect candidate in the 2 party system we have, but i'm still debating on who's going to get my vote... i do live in new jersey, so its almost certainly a blue state, but i'm still going to voice my opinion No, dude, that's good. We need some diversity here

McCain makes a few good points, but in general I'd trust Obama more to be a good president. Even though issues are important, I think people often forget about (re)presentation-ability and trustworthiness. I think that's AT LEAST equally important than the issues.
I voted for people here (I guess not as president but in government functions) that I did not agree with, but that I knew I could trust on their word, for at least most of the time. So if something needs to get done, something will get done. Maybe not exactly the way I'd like to see it, but at least it would get handled. That's what I find important. People that actually stand for something, and don't change their opinion for political survival or because people are against it. I'm not talking about when they made a mistake, cause it takes balls to admit a mistake, but people who stand for something and are willing to do what it takes to make it happen are people of integrity and trustworthiness, and I respect that.
And if you prefer McCain's policy issues and/or personality/character, then that is just fine. People might not agree with you, others might, but that shouldn't be important. You should go with your own feelings and beliefs, and if they say McCain, then McCain it is for you.
I think either way, the US will be better off than they are now.

Thats a really great thought of just knowing you can trust the leader, I've never actually thought about electing officials like that. But the two candidates we have right now are both pretty decent IMO, and i think that whichever one we get in the end will do a pretty decent job for the next four years, although I still am not positive who my vote's going to go to, but I feel safe with either one.

so when do the candidates pick running mates? i'm curious. It won't be too long before the selections are made. I think they'll be announced in late July or Early August.

Tomorrow may be the real deal for Obama announcing his Running Mate. He's going to be in Indiana tomorrow and is going to be introduced by Evan Bayh. It supposed to be just a town hall, but Obama is scheduled for 21 hours in Indiana, way more than what was needed for just a town hall. Also it'll be the last real chance for him to do it before the olympics. The kicker for me is that the Bayh staffer softball team cancelled their game for tomorrow. It just seems like somethings up.
upadate: for a brief time last week obamabayh08.com redirected to the DNC website.
