seriously... 71 is far too old in my opinion. That's like allowing my grandpa to run the country (and I promise you guys you don't want that ). I'm sure he's a smart guy and all but at that age who even knows if he'll be alive for 4 years?

Speaking of "Recount" - after you guys mentioned it, I went and watched it. WOW.. I was kind of young at the time (sixteen) so I didn't pay much attention or understand what was going on but learning about it in that movie was... just enlightening, I guess? I had no idea it was THAT messed up and I'm stunned that we let something like that happen. Whether Al Gore would have won or would have been a better president is irrelevant, it just seems to me that they tarnished the entire democratic process and the reason for voting.

How much difference are these endorsement making? Gore endorsed Obama, which is great, but does it change anything?

endorsments don't ever really change anything.

Even though I think that's a little different, at least to the outside world, I think there should be an age limit for a public political function. I think over here there is actually.. I think they need to 'retire' at 70 or something

lol I'd have to disagree with most of you guys on this one... I don't think McCain's too old to be president. I think age and health are relative. Probably because he has lived in privilege for a significant portion of his life, McCain is probably super healthy for someone of his age. Probably healthier than the average 60-year old American. I do think that Alzheimers, dementia, etc. and other things that usually show up in older age should be concerns, but the likelihood of McCain getting those things in the next four years is kinda low... But in terms of being "out of touch" -- well, that's a whole other story

I don't think McCain is to old. His age is the least of my worries about him being elected.

this is kind of creepy (lol it's probably coincidence), but ever since we started talking mostly about John McCain here, most of the ads on this site have been pro-McCain/anti-Obama.

Fuck McCain! Maybe that'll help No, but I still think he's too old to be president. Let him apply for any other top position in a company and see if he gets hired. I also think that other political position should have a limit. I don't know if I was talking about this here or at work, but the reason it's so hard to get anything done is because people go to the poll and vote for who they know and not based on issues. Call me picky but I think you should know some of the issues when you vote. Nothing is going to change if we don't change the people we put in office. OBAMA ROCKS!!

dont all shoot me at once but i kind of like mccain on a lot of his stances, and i did vote for him in the nj primary... the only thing i disagree with mccain on, is his gay marriage stances... i support gay marriage, and so does obama, but that's only one of the isses... there's never the perfect candidate in the 2 party system we have, but i'm still debating on who's going to get my vote... i do live in new jersey, so its almost certainly a blue state, but i'm still going to voice my opinion

Nope, that's not a coincidence actually. The ads are customized, so they respond to what topic we're talking about. Doesn't always work flawlessly, but with a topic like this, I think it picks up right away
