McCain challenged Obama to 10 town hall debates before the Democratic Convention, which equates to one a week. I think it was really stupid for McCain. He would look really bad against Obama's youth and charisma. I hope Obama agrees to this. 3 debates in October would be bad enough for McCain.

Obama doesn't need 10 debates for that. Those things take time and preparation. He can probably reach the same result with only 5 or so.

Florida in 2000 was so fucked up. All the shit that was pulled in Florida pre and post election robbed Gore. I believe that if what had happened in 2000 happened in another country the US government wouldn't have allowed for the results to stand.

And the US supreme court ruled that this was a "one time" decision. How extremely fucked up!

Bush v Gore was decided down partisan lines on the court. It wasn't really based upon any strong constitutional principal. The Court should have remanded it back to the Florida Supreme Court. Ugh... This Florida 2000 thing really frustrates me. I just can't believe it was allowed to happen.

The man really says 1 thing at first and then another thing the next time. Maybe he has dementia?

You know, I have to agree with Jesse Ventura about McCain's age. McCain is 71, which means he's old enough to be forced into retirement by a company. John McCain is old enough to SS and medicare. He couldn't walk into a goverment office and apply for a regular desk job at his age, so why should he be allowed to apply for the most important position in this country? I mean, legally he can be forced into retirement if he worked his wife's company. You see how this country works. I know plenty of seniors who are able to work, but can't get a job because of their age. This sounds like a pretty fair point to me.

The dementia thing was sarcastic, Mike. Though I do think that his age/questionable health is an issue that people can't just put aside when casting their votes.
