I still think that Richardson would be a safe bet, because with the endorsement by Edwards he gets a boost in white male voters, and Richardson could help him with the Hispanic vote, as well with voters that are putting a lot of focus on foreign affairs. My 2nd pick would probably be Jim Webb.

My only problem with Strickland as the running mate would be that he wouldn't be our Governor any more. How come no Strickland love? I mean after 8 years of Taft this is so much better. strickland has just caused me & 400 others in the state to loose their job by taking away moeny from the Ohio Tobacco Prevention Foundation, which by the way has been abolished now by the legislatures. how is getting rid of 400 jobs creating ecomonic stimulus?

Really Mrs. Clinton? Are you serious ? How the hell could she be mad about the results from yesterday's decision to seat all the delegates from Michigan and Florida with half a vote each, when they didn't have to seat them anyway because they broke the law. What a selfish bitch and her supporters who are mad about this are just plan delusional and ridiculous. How could anyone take away something that they weren't going to give you in the first place? I hope she realizes that if she keeps this fight going to the convention she's only hurting herself and the party. Her and her supporters are the only ones divided and like the commerical says "divided we fail." I seriously can't believe she's still not happy. I mean what the fuck did she expect to happen? Was she expecting to get all the votes as they stood even though it wasn't a very unfair election. I mean Edwards and Obama's names weren't even on the ballot in Michigan and both states were told that their votes wouldn't count on the democated side so many people didn't vote. You have over 4 million registered voters in Florida and onlty 1.7 million showed up to vote? That's not even right so what the hell does she have to bitch about now. I can't wait to hear her retarded ass reason for why she want's to take this to the convention. Her popular vote won't even carry water because she'll barely have it and it'll be because the committee allowed the Michigan and Florida votes to count, when in reality they shouldn't.

Obama will have the 2,118 delegates needed for the nomination on Tuesday night. I suspect the Obama campaign and party leaders will make it so when the polls close in Montana the networks will be able to call the nomination for Obama. I don't think Clinton will appeal the decision, but may hold out till next Tuesday in hope of some sort of Hail Mary. I think she'll concede next Wednesday.

I don't think Obama will hit 2,118 until Wednesday or Thursday. I agree it would be much more dramatic to have the balloons drop tomorrow night at the rally in MN, but I'm not sure it is the case. However, I do think there's a chance that Obama will get to claim victory tomorrow night.
The Clinton advance staff is being told that as of tomorrow night, they're out of a job. Not only that, but where will Hillary Clinton be tomorrow night to deliver her "celebration" speech? New York City. I think there's a chance she might throw the towel in tomorrow night, and then Obama goes on shortly after her from MN and declares victory. It could be a great party unifying moment in the very hall where the GOP will have their convention later this year.

I knew she was done when she didn't ask for money in her victory in Puerto Rico. I thought there would be a flood of Super Delegates today, but looks like they're holding until the contests. There are supposed to be some who will announce at 10pm Tuesday night when Montana closes. I think it'll happen Wednesday because I fairly confident Pelosi will be able to twist enough arms to get the number reached.

I agree with both of you. She is getting ready to resign, though I think she's jsut trying to save face for her supporters. Wow, I can't believe it's almost over

She's going to quit tonight. According to the AP she will say tonight that Obama has the nomination.
update: Terry Mcauliffe is denying the AP report calling it absolutly false. Also Harold Ickes is reportedly saying that it is over.

He only needs a handful of delegates more and Clinton's been saying she's open for being his VP, so I'm thinking it means she'll either quit tonight or tomorrow during the day

Wow, this is a great moment. I'm glad my grandmother is alive to see this. She just said she never thought she'd live to see the day that a black man could be president. This means a lot to her being that she grew up in the South.
As for Hillary I am proud of her accomplishments. I just wish she was a classier act

Wow, what a cool moment to witness! I got a little teary eyed watching the speech and the crowd... maybe I'm a sentimentalist but it's a huge deal to see something like this happen and to see people so excited about politics! I can't wait until November when we WIN this election

I'm in Beijing right now, and I woke up this morning to Obama clinching the nomination (I think we're 12 hours ahead of eastern time). It was all I could think about this entire day! I was lucky enough to read a transcript of the speech... I can't wait to get back to the states so that I can watch it on youtube. A lot of people I know here are rooting for Obama. News of his getting the democratic nomination even made it on the front page of the (state-run) evening newspaper... haha as a tiny blurb in the corner though.
