i'm new here so i dunno the history behind this board..
were u guys all part of the official forums and then decided to make a new one?
how did everyone find this board? i found it by googling for media

It was originally made by Koen as a place where we could come when LHfans.com message board was down - we'd come here until it came back up. But some time last year it went down for good and we all ended up here (since the official board sucks... ALOT) and here we are.  |

Yeah, I don't even check the official boards. ditto. i maybe check it 2-3 times a month if i'm bored. i like it here. i'm glad i found it because i was so sad when LHfans shut down. |

i remember waaay back in the day i used to just lurk around the LHF forums and i made maybe 3 or 4 posts in one year.....and then one day i got addicted. now i'm here every 5 minutes.  |

I saw some reference to "B-Sides" on the official site forum. Google got me here. I am so glad to be here in that the forum topics on the official site were often so mind numbing  , it took strength to get through them just trying to find the useful bits. |

ahh ok.. how come the official forum sux? thats usually the case with most bands official forums.. u tend to hang out more at an unofficial one.. is it pretty safe to say that everyone from LHF is on here? and like is this more active than the official forums? seems pretty active to me.. the band forums i'm on aren't really active.. but then again that's only Evermore (i'm an admin on the official board and just a regular on a smaller unofficial one) and Thirsty Merc (aussie bands).. I don't really venture out into world known bands' forums cos i can't be bothered when there's too many members coupled with too much activity.. not that a lively forum isn't a bad thing.. but i like this one.. and hey it's LH! >< thanks for the welcome, i introed myself on that bigass 18 page intro thread already |

It's sucks because we're no more 12  (not that there is anything wrong with that age, we all went thru that )We had our own "rules" on LHF and many fans that post on the offical MB didn't liked it. We don't want to talk about how "hot" the guys are or about their wives and such things. We prefer to have a little more respect for their private life. |

I think most of the people from LH-fans made it over to here... and the people who didn't like LHfans in the first place went to that place that hates us (can't remember the name).

I think the "rival board" is down for renovations or something at the moment. There were some people that just had a thing against LHF, and when they made a new message board, a bunch of LHF said that they'd rather just stick to LHF,and they got really really offended. (I joined the other one because, hey, it's lifehouse, but i stopped going back after they started like attacking people from LHF, and there was this really long post listing all the things they hate about LHF). i remember waaay back in the day i used to just lurk around the LHF forums and i made maybe 3 or 4 posts in one year.....and then one day i got addicted. now i'm here every 5 minutes. The same with me! I would check LHF for my LH info all the time, but never joined cause.... I don't even know why. One day I realized, I might as well join lol. I'm so thankful I saw Koen's sig on LHF and just randomly decided to join like a week before LHF went down. I was at a summer program when it stopped working, and was going through withdrawl and so upset when I came back, but then I remembed that "other forum" I joined like a week earlier lol. |

ooo i didn't know we had a "rival board." or maybe i did, i'm just not thinking about it now. i'm curious about the list. that's really weird and junior-highish. I loved LHF. It really was the first online community where i felt welcomed and knew it was something special. i also liked that the people talked about deeper things than the same simple questions asked over and over again. i think people who didn't like LHF got mad because we had rules and enforced them for the most part...but not in a mean way. i miss LHF, but this is definitely starting to feel like home, and it has most of the people who were on LHF, so that helps. |
