oh and in better luck next time I always thought he was saying "why'd you wait until you came around?" and I was thinking to myself "was jason high when he wrote this?" LOL JK!!!!! but still, it sounds weird...

OMG--reading this thread--I'm peeing my pants!
At the same time, I feel like I just found out the world was round when all this time I thought it was flat.
It is totally blowing my mind that I actually don't know hardly ANY real lyrics!
Edit: In Who We Are, I'm of the belief that he's singing "break and BEND" not "break and burn" and after I just read it, I realize that I thought he was singing..."It's all in our hands" not what is actually written as "all in our HEADS" That is two very different meanings and now completely changes the song for me. AND now I have to go back and edit my thread on MY interpretation of "Who We Are." LOL!
Edit: Okay, I feel a little better, because there are some lyric sites that say "in our hands" and some that say "in our heads" What do you guys think?
And now the Christmas pudding story that Maureen wrote makes perfect sense to me whereas three days ago, I was like--pudding--that's randomly funny!

I thought in first time, Jason was using Shakespearian English to say "when 'ere I'm ALONE with you tonight." Like the shortened version of "ever." I was like, that is very learned sounding! Then I realized it was actually just a one syllable word--"where" that he makes into a two syllable word. And.....he never says ALONE, he says BELONG. So the actual lyric is....."Where I BELONG is with you tonight." But I'm still singing it the other way because I can't remember the actual lyrics. haha I always thought the same thing! It sounds like "When I'm alone, we're feeling right"to me! LOL plus, in the music video, during that part it shows Jason alone in the room...it's weird. So I always thought it was ALONE. ;D check it out at the 0:59 mark... |

Omg lol lol lol. I always wondered if he knew that some people thought it sounded like he said wiener. I wonder if he read it on here? hahaha. I never heard that when I listened to the song until it was pointed out to me. I was on YouTube one day and watched something someone had done with Broken, and in the description the person was like, "he lost his wiener!" or something. I was like, What!! So I hurried to listen to it and I was like, omg, it does! LOL I felt bad for Jason. I was just listening to Midnight in Philly and I remember how I used to think that Jason was singing "sh*tting down that you love me" that was the first time I heard the song, and I couldn't believe what I was hearing! I'd never heard jason swear in a song or ever for that matter...especially with a song like that. so I had to look up the lyrics, and when I did, I couldn't stop laughing "shouting down that you love me". poor Jay! he had trouble enunciating as a teen...still does ;D

OK, I just had to go back and clarify this with the actual album lyrics as I was getting conflicting lyrics on different web sites that post lyrics.
Better Luck Next Time IS: "I'm a son you gave up for this child."
In Chapter One, I thought the lyrics were: "...make some sense out of this madness with eternal light." It's actually..."make some sense out of this madness, will it turn out right?"
