Could be. I spoke with Erica at the Milwaukee concert last night and she said that the site is definately shut down for now. It's become too expensive to keep the site going, and seriously, if we all chipped in something every month, I don't know if that would help. She's trying to find some alternatives and so we'll keep you up to date on that.

Yea.. Eric is working on an alternative or something with Erica so we'll see how that goes... $300 a month is outrageous; we definitely couldn't cover that :/

Well, for now we can just gather here, and once Eric & Erica figured out how to move the community over to the new server, we can all get back there. Either way, we'll probably have to build up our old community again.

Bad news...but $300 for month?!!That's too much... here,in Portugal, for a good server, we pay $120 a year... It seems that we can't do nothing for now...it's sad...

well, if they can cook up something new that works, then it's fine with me. I mean, it's sad that the old community will probably not be revived, but as long as we have a place to get together and interact and talk about Lifehouse stuff, I'm good. And they might be able to transfer the old posts to the new server, of if that's not possible, maybe they can archive the old community, so we can still access it as an archive.

And it's even more sad after the guys recognized our support when they mentioned lifehousefans.com on the booklet... Edit:: Koen,i really hope they can do it...

So sad. Whenever I open a website it's like an instinct for me to start typing "lifehousefans...." in the address spot

I am working with Erica to figure out the best hosting option and once that is established certain individuals she decided will be contacted to discuss the forum system, layout, moderators, etc.
Its very unlikely the current board info will be transfered over. It wont hurt to start clean. Having it up as a read only archive is a more likely option.

Koen & Eric; what can I do to help? I've been an IT student for a year with an extensive background on programming and things of that nature. Anyway I have been hosting my PC site over at this good host (for 2 years btw): www.hostingzero.com. They are free and their uptime is remarkable. I suggest giving them a visit and posting the traffic report for LHfans in their forum under Web Requests. (BTW: they aren't a cheap host. They've got everything from cPanel to PHP to 1-10GB bandwidth, it's the real deal). Also, if need be I can host whatever at my site, even if it requires running the entire board or any files, lyrics, images or whatever else. Please let me know I really would like to help and I'm not BSing you guys! =) -shawn

I'm not really like technology savvy, and this is probably one of the least important things right now, but just out of curiosity, would the website still be lifehousefans.com or with a new server would they have to change it up?
