Nope... didn't work out - the blood work hasn't changed. So, I've pretty much lost all hope that I'm getting off this anytime soon. Blog has been updated - yournextdisaster.sweet-catastrophe.com/

I figured I should update now that I'm doing better. I did hemodialysis (where they clean your blood and give it back to you) for three months and that was pretty horrible. I was sick all the time and severely anemic. Finally got the surgery to do the other kind of dialysis (Peritoneal Dialysis) in February and started doing that about a month ago. I am feeling MUCH better! I have energy again and want to do things - going to see LH in June! I do this 4 times a day (it takes about 30 minutes) - you put fluid in your stomach through a catheter and it pulls all the toxins and excess water and then you drain and repeat. Starting on April 20th I can do it at night (meaning a machine will do it all for me and I can have my days free!). I had iron infusion for three weeks and that helped a lot in the feeling better as well. Still looking into the transplant but it will be a while... right now, I'm just happy to be feeling semi-normal again. Hopefully, I'll be able to go back to work in August for the new school year. And there's your update

Lifehouse and Jack's Mannequin shows lining up for you, I'm glad you're doing much better :]
The iron infusion that you're getting, it sounds a bit like the Thalassaemia blood transfusion that would require a desferal injection every day/night. I did a research/presentation once regarding Thalassaemia and I had my fair share of helping kids out with dialysis, blood transfusions etc. It's never easy for them. You're certainly one tough cookie to go through that every day. Keep it up, love :]

No, it wasn't a blood transfusion. It was just straight iron (black looking stuff) through an IV once a week for three weeks. I haven't had to get a blood transfusion yet... and I Hope I never will.
