Since this is a random thread, I feel the need to express my concern about something. I live out in the middle of nowhere (in the summer anyway), and there are these huge orangeish yellow trucks in the driveway and on the road in front of my house. There are guys walking around, and a big orange sign that says "Men Working." I'm thinking, Uh Oh....Men working! Everybody look out! Things could get dangerous... I'm not sure what they're doing, and since I'm alone it makes me a bit nervous. They appear to be cutting trees from around the power lines though.

don't you love when you open the internet for a specific purpose (probably for homework), and magically find yourself on the boards and can't remember why you opened the internet to begin with..... lol

This week, I've gotten to the point where I have to disable my laptop's wireless adapter so that I can write my final papers...

LOL ;D I do have something random to post and i finally remembered it. i've been teaching a 5th grade class our tobacco prevention program for the past 2 weeks and ironically, there's a Jason and a Brayden (that's how he spells it) and they sit right next to each other. And Jason reminds me of LH Jason at that age cause he's got the longer hair thing going on. and Brayden, while he's not a girl, kind of looks like LH Jason now, with the blonde, short hair. i just found it to be amusingly ironic.

thats awesome on the Matty thing!!
An update on me. I am finally done with my summer camp trainings as of last night. We had our water safety training last night which involved swim test, which included swimming 100 yrds non-stop, treading water with arms up for 2 minutes, and diving nearly 9 ft and touching the bottom of the pool, then we did some drowning rescue training. The training went really well. I found out I am a much better swimmer than I thought I was lol. So there is 15 more days left until my Texas ladies (Allison and Karen) and I embark on our Lifehouse road trips. I am ready for that stretch to be done so I can get some time away to relax and have some fun. I havent had a break in three months (spring break). So yeah.

i heard "Come On Get Higher" from Matt Nathanson in the car today. it was awesome cause i've never heard one of his songs on the radio. yay Matt! Maureen, your story triggered my little brain about something I had forgotten about. I keep Matt SMH CD's with me at the house and in the car, just in case someone needs one on the spot. I also will give them to people who I think will enjoy Matt......... anyway, I was going to get my hair cut a couple of weeks ago and decided that my hairdresser would really enjoy Matt. So, while sitting in his chair and trying to explain the background of Matt and the CD I brought for him, I was pointing out the round, red sticker on the front of the packaging to let him know the two singles that he could hear on the radio. It is the normal sticker that mentions "Car Crash" and "Come On Get Higher". I was letting him know that "Come On Get Higher" was my favorite and that he would like that song.......anyway, in mid-sentence, while telling him about COGH, I hear Matt start singing COGH on the shop's Sirius station playing over the soundsystem. I squealed a bit...startled the hell out of him, and continued to do my sales pitch, with Matt singing in the background. It couldn't have been more perfect! Also, I have never heard Matt on radio in the Houston area...recently I talked to a San Antonio Program Director, a Houston Program Director and one long-time morning show DJ in the Houston area....none of them were familiar with Matt -- I offered to send them CD's, but they declined the offer, with a promise that they would look him up and learn more about him.............where have they been!!!!!!!!!! One more random bit....which I forgot until now: When I was in Spokane and saw & talked to Matt in our hotel coffee shop -- we were on our way to a nearby mall to find something to eat. Within 10 minutes of meeting Matt, I walked into Nordstom's at the mall and "Car Crash" was playing over the sound system. Unfortunately, those are the only two times that I have heard Matt outside of concerts and him serenading me from the tiny confines of my iPod...

Yeah, I've only heard him on the radio a couple of times, and it was Car Crash. Granted, I hardly ever listen to the radio (always listening to my ipod), so it may have been played a lot more here and I just didn't realize it.
Does anyone have any ideas about what his next single may be after Come On Get Higher?
