I don't think anyone of us is seeing the karma thing too serious and we were all friendly, so no need to be scared by us  He/she is welcome to be a part of this MB and I'm sure he/she will change her/his mind. |

This board and Lifehousefans.com board is better because the fans that post on them regularly are more hardcore fans. Period, point, blank.

I wouldn't say there aren't hardcore fans on the Lifehousemusic.com boards though. But I think a share of the hardcore fans stays away there because of the reasons stated (setup, general topic of conversation). I mean, if the setup of the board would be more like it was way back in the days with the official MB, I'd be back on there too. And I think a lot of other people too.
And like peaceout said, if people are into Lifehouse because they think they are hot, sure, that's no problem with me. But on the other hand, I don't see why it would be a problem if we'd rather skip the "physical attraction" threads and talk about different things. I mean, it can easily co-exist.

You are by all means allowed to use it, but I want to give this person a fair chance to respond first Well in all fairness it's been almost 24 hours... and I don't really think it's fair to override people's opinions just because you don't disagree with them as much as others do. maybe if you had reset their karma to 50 and subtracted the smites thus far...rather than just completely changing it. |

I e-mailed him/her today, to invite him/her to respond and explain him/herself. And I understand that people took offense from that post, but I'd rather have the person understand us than feel like his views are confirmed. If we start smiting him/her then he'll/she'll never feel welcome and see us as a 'secretive cult'. However, I see your point about subtracting the smites, and I agree that I should respect it when you guys decided to do so. So I will do that. |

Hello again,
I never said that ALL of you were negative, I said MOST...and when I came back on here to read your responses yesterday, I felt that I was instantly validated by "Krizit" and others. I am an extremely positive and happy person and I am offended by all the bad karma comments. The reason why I even said anything was because I didn't understand why everyone here had to come to a separate board when lifehousemusic is the one that needs fans' support, and most of what I saw on there were "hardcore fans" being negative to others. Yes I see that most of you have made Lifehouse a huge part of your lives, but I feel that I have too - since I've liked them and supported them for almost 7 years now. Does that mean that I'm gonna get pissed because other girls think they're hot too?? no, cuz I TOTALLY think they're hot!! YOU ALL do too!! I've seen posts on lifehousefans talking about Bryce's "package", or dreams you've had about dating them or what not. I thoroughly enjoyed going to those boards and reading that stuff. But what I DIDN'T enjoy were the pages of insults to their new image and album artwork. (and not to mention, I'm sure Geffen doesn't give a flying f*** what anyone here or there has to say because they're a huge record label who are busy doing other things like trying to get Lifehouse promoted!! no offense, but seriously). Obviously the guys are into this whole freak show thing, otherwise they wouldn't be doing it. So how would you like to go on your boards and read that everyone hates it. I'm personally very happy that lifehousefans was taken down. And I'm only saying it because I've seen it happen with another artist that took their boards down because people were being too harsh and critical, when they're supposed to be fans!! I know everyone's gonna have an opinion, it's fine. I would just personally be annoyed if I were any of the Lifehouse guys and read a majority of the posts that I was reading. Maybe they NEVER even go on the boards, but I doubt that's the case. I just like being supportive of everything they do, but that's just me. And I'm hoping lifehousemusic becomes more popular because that's the main page new people go to and so far it looks like there's no life there. (and I think the layout and moderation is fabulous! I don't know what you guys are talking about, considering I was seeing a shitload of porn on the other boards.) I've never made posts on Lifehouse boards because I just liked reading everything, but I think it's time I start on lifehousemusic, cuz I really like it there. I hope you all join me!!
and thanks gogonuts for remaining positive and objective towards my feelings. you were pretty much the only one. and to everyone else, I would highly recommend re-reading "Krizit"s post and listen to how ridiculous you are for agreeing with her. You all want Lifehouse to stay a small band so you can have them all to yourselves. That's a shame. And you DO have somewhat of a cult, (and there's no reason to take such high offense to that cuz it's fine), because I noticed you have special lingo such as "IHers", which I have NO idea what that means, but I'm assuming you guys created words to talk crap about other girls, and that's not nice. Correct me if I'm wrong.

now let's slow it down. I came on board during the Self-titled era of things and i used to check the official boards everyday, but there was never any news. And then when i checked LHF, there's news. so i don't know why LHFs members are quicker at reporting things, but that didn't matter to me, it just meant i had less sites to check each day. So i have no problem with the official boards, but it has this feel that people come and go. and in those 2 years I've been on LHF, i kinda got to know the regulars on the board. Not that well, but to the point where i know whose musical taste is valid. That's pretty much my reasoning on why I choose to go where the rest of the LHF people go. I suppose it's Lifehouse love.
as for us being a cult? LOL.
