After years of hiatus, our boys are back! Never thought making a photo collage would really pump me up! Attachments:

I saw and got excited too! Don't get your hopes up too much everyone, I think they're focusing on shows rather than studio work for now but it's still nice to see everyone together and happy J and Steve said in an Ozwald interview that they plan to release two records per year, so releasing a Lifehouse album and touring it would be pretty crayzay. I'll be at the Niagara show with andcuethemusic on February 13th, anyone coming? Hoping to meet the guys afterwards like dewey did last time (I was impatient and left... not happening this time!)

If Lifehouse and Matchbox 20 release new songs this year, 2020 will really be a "worth the wait" year.

I hope they schedule a Michigan show or two. I’m not pregnant this time around!

I feel like I’m the only one on this board that’s totally burned out and done with OZWALD, but this interview only hooked me in since Jason said something about Lifehouse “getting busy again.”
I hope that means more than just a few shows!

Even if Jason needs to put that 2 records a year with Steve, a Lifehouse album would be in another level. I'm waiting for this since the greatest hits thing

It’s okay to be burned out with them. You’re not obligated to like them. Here’s how I feel about Ozwald. First, it’s a solid, solid side project and it seems to be an outlet for some complex issues going on. It’s also likely not all of the writing Jason is doing. I haven’t listened to more than a small number of Ozwald songs and could picture them as a Lifehouse song. A lot of songwriters with multiple projects really have a way of knowing “okay, this is for someone else/for my side project/for my main project.” I think we should feel good that he’s writing and releasing music and also keeping Lifehouse in the picture. A strategy like that is what will prolong the life of Lifehouse longer than having it become a cyclical 9-5 with no room for anything other than Lifehouse.

A strategy like that is what will prolong the life of Lifehouse longer than having it become a cyclical 9-5 with no room for anything other than Lifehouse. I (mostly) don’t disagree except for calling it a “solid, solid side project.” I’m glad he has another creative outlet and freedom...I have enjoyed quite a few of their songs, and I’ve supported them quite a bit via money spent, but it just no longer appeals to me. Started on a fairly high note, but nosedived in my opinion with the latest release. I much prefer anything he’s done solo (not including My Universe lol) and anything Lifehouse. I also agree he clearly knows when he’s writing what feels like OZWALD, solo, or otherwise. I have no issue there, and I agree that he probably has continued to write to write, not just laser-focus on OZWALD only. I would cite Emerson Hart & Tonic as the perfect example. He does a great job with setting the right tone and sound for Tonic vs solo, and especially his live shows shine thru for that. Tonic is rock through & through, and Emerson is storyteller/singer-songwriter. Major difference and done well. But my opinion doesn’t change. I’m over OZWALD 🤷🏼♂️. I didn’t say I hope it fails or something. Glad he’s got an outlet, I’m just more than ready for a Lifehouse return.

Ozwald is not my cup of tea either, but at least he's still writing music. I too am ready for some new LH music though. My only fear is getting disappointed with another bad album like Almeria. As I said before, I think the golden days of Lifehouse are over.

I could go for something simple like a b-sides/rarities collection... or like Tonic did with Lemon Parade, give me an entire in-studio acoustic album. Hell, even just a little EP like Jason did with some solo tunes.
I think they can still make a great album tho. Am I alone in still loving Wasteland? I’m still so pissed about the Nickelback tour essentially killing that album.Don’t get me wrong, I absolute love NNF, but if I need an album to just throw on, Wasteland has been my go-to for years now.
