The preview of Voyage of the Underling sounds ANAZING, so excited!! This EP is turning out to be amazing!

Interesting stab at the lyrics! Now that you gave us something to go off of, I'll have to try listening to it again. The only line I know for sure is "no one says what they really mean."

The next track sounds really cool already too. I think I'll like this next one more even just for being able to understand what he's singing.

I love the overall sound of Voyage of the Underling. And I just love the last minute or so of the song. However I disliked the chipmunk portion of the song.

Anyway does the early bits of the song remind you of Oh Wonder or is it just me?

Absolutely! Exactly what I thought!
I've always thought of Jason as a versed singer/songwriter but I've never thought that I really really like this style he's been experimenting with on this EP.
It's fresh, it's contemporary, it's what he needed to expand his horizon as a songwriter, whether you like it or not. 
Voyage of the Underling and Santa Monica are very atmospheric and kind of relaxing to me. I've been listening to them on repeat for hours!

Here's my try on Voyage of the Underling (Santa Monica is still a mystery to me ; feel free to correct):

I'm hearing hints of something like Coldplay's Midnight in Ell

"Luminate" reminds me of these "Stranger Things-80s-Synths" and somehow of Coldplay's Midnight single.
I really do like these new songs so far. But it's really hard to understand the lyrics, this is all I could figure out:

Magnetize will probably be the best song on this EP. It's my least favorite. It's a little boaring and tedious. I'm just waiting to what happens next
