Those are deep cuts? If by deep cuts you mean "not a radio single, but used in regular rotation for live shows & during promotional acoustic sets" then I guess :/ I love them both a lot, but I'd prefer something less often played I guess. They're on tour in support of a greatest hits collection. I think getting one or two songs a night not on that collection would be awesome, but I'm a realistic fella.

To amend my earlier comment about Broken: Today Lifehouse went "live" on facebook and were asking for song recommendations. Someone said Broken and the band had a very strange reaction to that, which was basically like a "we don't talk about that". Weird.
They also made it seem like they've be switching up which songs they'll do during sound check based on the VIP crowd. We'll have to keep an eye out for that's true.

Yikes. That's not good about Broken. I hope something bad didn't happen to Jason's friend that was the inspiration for the song.

I didn't hear it that way...I just felt like they aren't going to play both Everything & Broken. Doesn't really make sense to do both and they already planned for Everything. Maybe they already plan to switch out Everything in favor of Broken at some point during the tour, but who knows. Or maybe Steve hasn't practiced it enough.
However, I do agree about requests. Seems like I've been at multiple shows where Jason just pretends to hear a request of something he already felt like playing. I am hopeful this tour tho since he said it would be easier if people just bring signs.... so on that note I'll be pulling out my "Play The Edge" sign I brought to a show sometime around 2006ish!

I think it's a tad disappointing how few songs are added and removed from a tour's set lists. They've been a trio for 12 years now and played a good chunk of the songs over the years. Let's be brutally honest, there's not much musically in the Lifehouse catalog that is that difficult to play or re-learn in more than a single sound check. Especially a song like Broken that's been played over one hundred times. I also don't buy the idea that Broken and Everything can't be played at the same show because of their similar structure. I say end the main set with one and end the show with the other. I always found them to be the logical set closers, not HBAM. I really liked back in the mid first decade (not sure what to call it) when HBAM was literally the second song played. It got the crowd into it right away.

who knows what the reason is, lol. I just had a "if my friend's dad is not gonna sue us" Georgianna" vibe from it..;-) I hope they do end up playing it because it's a gorgeous song:D
I am not too fond of the encore choices..and I cannot imagine them doing the same setlist for 30 plus shows, but who knows.

hurricane is not my kind of opener either..oh well Hurricane would be better like a second song right after HBAM or Spin, like really after ππ.. Or maybe a third song to keep the up tempo

I'm nearing (if not over) my 30th LH concert & this was definitely one of their best.
They definitely make Hurricane into a good opener & even though I'd personally change a few things, this is probably the most energy & emotion they've put into a show in 10-15 years.
I'm still just sick of that digital Spin intro.

If anyone is on instagram, Jason & Byrcs added my Diff's Lucky Day CD to their story!
The VIP experience was good, but short. Very assembly-line style but I still got in some good time & questions.
For the soundcheck, they just did Broken & Bryce's U2 cover.

Neat to hear J talk about it a bit too Glad to hear they did Broken, though two songs is a pretty short soundcheck.
