How can one see/use the Philippine iTunes store from the US? I tried changing my country from my Apple ID but because I have Apple Music, I can't. Guess I can wait another 5 hours

lol same kingcarl, gotta do whatever I can to hear that new Lifehouse. Shawn idk about apple music (unless it's the same thing as iTunes) but I just went to the bottom of iTunes where the U.S. flag icon was and switched it to philippine. I wouldn't order it there but you should be able to hear a 1:30 seconds of the song from the preview.

Wowza, this one is incredible! Great lyrics, far stronger song than Satellites imo. Great vibe and vox too. Lyrics as best as I can decipher:
Paper Cuts I woke up today to find This tunnel vision left me blind With no sense of where to go
There's paper cuts on both my hands Flipping through these books tryn'a understand I don't, so I just go with the flow
There's an open door with a clenched fist And crooked signs that I might've missed Somewhere along the way
As I close my eyes I disappear To a place and time far from here I run but I can't outrun today
Chorus: There's lightning in the sky, I'm on the road As an overwhelming urgency explodes All my life been waiting to arrive It's not the destination, it's the drive
I woke up with a bloody nose And bruises on my feet and toes I've been kicking and screaming at the wall
Strange how you feel most alive When you're broken down trying to survive You cry, and curl up into a ball
Somewhere in the solitude Silence creeps up in front of you For once, there's nothing left to lose
As I stare into the interspace Everything seems to dissipate Even if I could, I wouldn't want to move
Chorus: There's lightning in the sky, I'm on the road As an overwhelming urgency explodes All my life been waiting to arrive It's not the destination, it's the drive
Woke up today with burning ears Has it been thirty days or thirty years? I call to get you on the phone
Said there's paper cuts on both your hands Flipping through these books tryn'a understand This life gets stranger as we go
There's lightning in the sky, I'm on the road As an overwhelming urgency explodes All my life been waiting to arrive It's not the destination, it's the drive

Yeah man, this is a really solid song. The music, melody line and lyrics are all top notch. I do have a bug with this and Satellite (partial) that we've heard...the mix. It feels like everything has been blended together and the lyrics aren't as upfront and center as they should be. When you have a singer with a tone like Jason with lyrics like this, why muddy up the mix?

When you have a singer with a tone like Jason with lyrics like this, why muddy up the mix? Totally, I've thought they both sound really muddy especially compared to Clarity off OOTW which should be the next song after Satellites he releases (two weeks). That one is very clear, quite fitting! Satellites in particular has this problem, which isn't great because the lyrics are kinda bad to me and if the instrumentation was more nuanced, it would help the song cover up its ABCC rhyming structure and bland, too-ambiguous words. Paper Cuts reminds me SO MUCH of Clarity otherwise, it's great!

I can't help but listen to Eighties and compare it to some of his writing from S&M til now. The imagery and detail in that song is incredible. When I listen to Eighties, I feel like I'm living the story and I'm feeling this sadness that he paints in the song. I miss that in his writing and I haven't been able to find that type of sincerity and authenticity in most of the music I hear (not just Jason/LH but music in general).
I enjoy his solo work, I do. But I feel like the words are tired. Paper Cuts is far above Satellites in my opinion but one thing I always loved about Jason's writing is his use of metaphors and symbolism. Eighties is a big one for me but there's Fairytales and Sandcastles, Revolution Cry, Simon, My Precious, Walking Away, Broken, The Joke, etc.
Sorry, rant not intentional just getting excited for this solo stuff. I think we're getting close (I'm most excited for a new version of Clarity, Goodbye and finally a face to the name for Shiny Silver Beast which is over a decade old).

I'm really loving Satellites and Paper Cuts! They both kind of remind me of a mix between Almeria and Smoke & Mirrors. I'm getting a folk vibe and I'm really digging it.

Amazon says Satellites will be released April 14th Yup! He's releasing a song every Friday, starting with the Paper Cuts songs in the order of the original album. There was a mistake this week where Satellites was on Spotify and iTunes for part of the day, but it's since been removed to be officially released next week

lh778 you would be correct, if you look on the lifehouse website in the tour article they said a greatest hits collection will be released on June 30 of this year.
