It was quite obvious that you listed the item. I'm sorry, but the timing of your posts and the updates on eBay made it quite clear. I haven't tried to offend you, but because of the 'ruse' you can't blame us for getting suspicious.
Also I don't like it that you question the fandom of the members on this forum. The members here have always been honest, sometimes very vocal if they are enthusiastic or disappointed, but this time, you gave us a reason to be suspicious.
I agree that it doesn't matter who you are or why you posted it on eBay and it is an interesting item, but it was quite clear from the beginning we weren't willing to pay that much for it and you were trying to drive up the price. Personally, that kind of rubbed me the wrong way. I can't speak for others, but I imagine more people felt that way.[/quote]
First of all, I do appreciate your speciousness, because it shows you fans do care. I care too though, and that is why it has been listed. Let's just state the facts about the CD...it is original and someone did write on it (big deal) Obviously, Jason or Ron didn't label it, otherwise it would probably have a sticker. Anyway, it was recorded by Ron and Jason in their studio. The dates on the tracks within the CD will prove that. I'm not a computer genius either, so if dates can be manipulated on a CD then I wouldn't know.
You all have the right to disagree with the "cheap" value (in my eyes I have been more than fair with price) The price is going up because skeptics made it go up. To be honest with you, if you notice the ad has come a long way since the first one. The more research I have done, and the more I have learned from you and the fans here about what you want and what is rare about it has simply drove the price up. It could have been purchased for $49...then $99. It wasn't and I learned that there is something very rare about it, "Take the Weight", and quite possibly the other tracks could be ones that nobody has heard. I haven't sat here listening to it that closely to compare, but if it doesn't sell again, then I might find more rare details about it for the next ad. I will keep listing it till it sells and the price is still reasonable considering these have some of the same tracks they used on DLD. Those CD's have two different ones...Bliss spelled with an I (1 out of 100) & Blyss with a Y (1 out of 1,000) I know this because I was there when they printed them, and sold them all over schools and churches in California. Those CD's have sold in the past on Ebay for $300-$500. They are extremely rare. This CD is one of a kind (1 out of 1). You can take my word for it or not. I simply do not care because I know where it came from. It has been in the hands of all the original band members, and even in their cars' CD players back in the days. Jason used to drive a beat up, red, pick-up truck going back and forth from band practices, to home, and to church while listening to these songs knowing he was going to make it big one day. He used to say to the band, 'We're going to play at Madison Square Gardens one day. (which they did).
Anyway, good luck bidding...for you fans I'll tell you the reserve is $125 and it's not changing. It is worth way more than this.

in my eyes I have been more than fair with price then how do you explain nobody buying it and everybody on here saying "man if it was cheaper I'd totally buy it?" So you're driving away potential buyers because they are asking legitimate questions about an unofficial CD that you put on eBay while pretending to be an interested buyer yourself and not the seller that you really are? Seems legit. Well see, this is where you are wrong. We HAVE heard all of those songs, with the exception of Take The Weight, which by itself is simply not worth the amount of money you want for it, as made obvious by the lack of anyone buying the CD. I don't really understand your logic. "Hey look my CD is not selling for $49 and everybody is saying they would buy it if it were like 10 bucks cheaper.....nah fuck them, let's sell it for $99"....then nobody buys it for $99 and now you're trying to find "special things" about the CD to sell it for even more? lmao....good luck with that bro. Dude all this information is publicly available. And I honestly don't care if the band name is spelled with an I or a Y. The only reason anybody would buy this CD is for "Take The Weight". You have provided no evidence as of yet to establish that this CD is legit and you expect us to accept your word for it, after you've already played us and taken us for fools by pretending to be somebody else. Yeah well, your loss then dude. At this point I'm not sure I'd even buy it for $5 since the way you have been presenting yourself on here has been very questionable and I don't do business with somebody who treats me like I am a moron. You do have something special here, no question. But it's one acoustic song. The legitimacy of the CD has not been established and you have provided no evidence for it. If you expect me to put down $125 for a CD-R I'm going to need a bit more than your word and your insults to prove that it's legit. I think at this point it would be best if we simply closed the thread since the whole point of your existence on this forum seems to be to rip people off and being dishonest about your intentions.

In that case. I wish you luck selling the item.
To me, personally, it is not worth that much. Not because I doubt the authenticity, but because of reasons several people mentioned. Most of the versions of the songs (with the exception of Take The Weight, which does seem new/unique) are available in clear digital versions, though some of the versions (based on the clips) are harder to find than others. So in this respect, the only new aspect to it (which I translate to added value) is the recording of Take The Weight. For that I'm not willing to pay that much. If someone else does see this item worth paying over $100 for, they are obviously free to do so. Their choice.
However, this Lifehouse forum holds a lot of members that have been around since the early 2000s, a good number of which have actual copies of one of the DLD versions (myself included). I actually have all different editions of their albums (up until the last two CDs as most of the extra tracks were digital bonus tracks) and a large number of radio/promotional releases that I collected and spent a serious amount of money on. And I know I'm not the only one who's been collecting CDs and memorabilia, many of us have been doing this. And since none of us have been bidding on the item, in my opinion, does say something in regards to the value of the CD, but again, you're free to see this differently.
So again, I wish you luck and I wish the winner of the auction a lot of pleasure and enjoyment with the CD. I just wanted to explain how I see things. Again, not because I doubt the authenticity, the clips speak for themselves, but because many of the songs are digitally available if you know where to look and ah well, no use in repeating myself, I guess.

I think at this point it would be best if we simply closed the thread since the whole point of your existence on this forum seems to be to rip people off and being dishonest about your intentions and I don't think we need people like that on these boards. I'll keep it open so people who were involved in the discussion can add their opinions to it. Things are in the open now and even though I suspect pretty much everyone is going to say something similar about it, they have as much right to answer as we all do. I agree that the whole ploy to generate interest and drive up the price wasn't very classy and the post where the forum members' loyalty was questioned was quite uncalled for, but it IS a rare item and it DOES have a recording of a song that we only heard in a live recording so far, so it IS interesting and thus relevant. However, as I stated in my reply, in my opinion, not nearly worth as much as asked for.

To you, this is the most hateful list of response I have ever seen. Please close the thread if you wish...but there are people other than you that wish to ask questions. Just because you live in a world full of scams and negativity doesn't mean everyone online does. If this is your example of Lifehouse fan being honest, respectful and good people well I guess there's always one bad apple! Bid or don't bid...I will keep listing it! This forum holds about 0.00009% of the Lifehouse fan base. I'd like to know who in here personally knows Jason and Sergio as I do? Anyone? Didn't think so...so I question the legitmacy of this forum. Are you really just fanatics who spew over their work with nothing better to do, or do you truly appreciate it. How in the world anyone can say or think this isn't legit after posting those chips has issues and I will restrict you from purchasing the CD. To the serious buyers...from here on out. I will only respond to serious inquiries...otherwise just close this thread now before we all say things we don't mean. Thanks

Dude, I've been very nice so far. But you started with the deception, don't go ripping on people if they're calling you on it. CD-R or Gold Disc, wth are we talking about. Klein has been making good points whether he was diplomatic about it or not. You say you know them personally, you say it's legit, you say this, you say that, we only have your word for it. I'm inclined to believe you but that's not the same as proof.
I've known most of these people here for years and they're good people and I won't have you calling them bad apples or rip on them for questioning you. You came in here to promote your ebay listing, for your own gain. By deceiving us and by being stubborn you haven't made any friends around here. I've been known here for upholding some measure of diplomacy but once you start ripping on the forum members, many of whom I consider my friends, I am going to start to take it personal.
You are free to post about your listing. Be honest about it. Remember that these people here know each other and often trust each other. You're new and you haven't earned anyone's trust. Back up your claims with proof if you can and don't start shouting because people demand proof, I think that's normal, especially if you ask that much money for your item.
I will keep the thread open because I imagine people are genuinely interested in the listing. Whether or not they are interested in it for your price is another matter, but I will let everyone decide that for themselves.
As for your claim that there's no one here who knows any of the band members personally. I actually know there are forum members who do, in various degrees. And besides, even if there was no one on here who did, that wouldn't make us any less and it wouldn't change the fact that asking you to back up your claims is a normal request.
So please don't start slinging mud. It only makes people doubt you more. And like I said, so far you haven't done much to earn anyone's trust on here. The only reason people are still checking into this thread is because the listing is actually interesting, not because you're approach is appealing to them.

You have been nice...yaaaa but as the moderator of this so-called Lifehouse fans forum, you do not set the best example. To say that I have done nothing to prove the legitimacy of this CD is pure stupidity. I'm sorry if I offend you but obviously I am not dealing with the brightest apples on the tree. You have a lot of learning to do. As for the listing...you are all entitled to your opinion, but remember it doesn't make you right. I know what this is...just because you guys haven't caught on and realized what this is that is not my fault. I will keep listing it until it sells. I guarantee it will sell for what I want it to sell for eventually. It's called patience. No longer will I prove anything else. The clips I posted are proof enough and the person who wins it will be pleased. Just to point out more stupidity...THE AD HAS A 14-DAY RETURN POLICY! If you are skeptics buy it and see for yourself when you get it that it is real. If it's not you simply return it, morons. And in the meantime you could actually copy it. I don't really care just as long as the person who buys it doesn't really do that. But if you had brains, it could have been done already and returned to me hahaha I'm done...with you two...anyone else have anything meaningful to discuss in regards to the ad?

At this point I decided to close the thread. The link to the ebay listing is still clickable, so if you are interested, head on over there, you can contact the seller for more information.
I do not condone this behavior on the forum. I have no problem with people disagreeing or even getting into a heated discussion. But "so-called", "not the brightest apples on the tree", "morons" and other things that have been blurted out here, I do have a problem with. The tone of that last reply could've been so much more respectful and still gotten the same message across.
This person started with deception, then when called on his BS he started ripping on those who confronted him and treated us like stupid children. That doesn't lead to anything and this thread would only get worse at this point. I don't want that. So the thread is closed and numberonefan has been removed from the members.
I wish him luck in selling his listing and if someone decides to purchase it, good for you. It is an interesting item and it does have something special. But since it derailed here, lets keep that on ebay.
