As far as the song title goes.... i know people have been wondering where the title came from/why it is called angeline. does anyone else think of the princess and the frog? evangeline was the north star that the cute firefly liked? i dunno but i think of that every time i hear this and it makes it even cuter (cause gosh darnit, i love ray!) youtu.be/1NumofKJ9VQ |

I think it might be random..that he needed a name to rhyme with:p *that or it's derived from angel..and he wanted to give that a twist..or it;'s a name of someone in his group of friends..or...well the only way we'd find out is asking I guess, lool!

The band just tweeted that they are currently working on this song in the studio! First one to be recorded for this session.  Personally, I hope they keep production of this song to a minimum. I think it would sound best very raw. |

Those are actually very old songs.
Dance is even pre Lifehouse time, it is one of the FKA songs (Jason's worship group at his church) and Take The Weight Of The World is from 2001

I think it would sound best very raw. I could NOT agree more! Hopefully the song stays exactly how it is live... stripped down, raw and acoustic! I know this is just me speculating and making assumptions, but sometimes I feel like that is why Jason/Lifehouse chooses a lot of times to NOT release a song that they've been playing live ...because it just doesn't translate well to the studio and being layered and touched up. I just hope they eventually record this one as well as What Happens Next & The Edge. Those are my wishes! And both Angeline & WHN should stay as all-acoustic track! I back up my hopes by using I Want You to Know as an example. This one was one of the most beautiful and perfect songs live, but I don't like the studio version at all. It's really awkward, and touched up WAY TOO MUCH. A raw piano-only version would have been amazing... |

a day late & a dollar short.... I finally listened to it. Def. reminds me of their b-side stuff. The words are simply beautiful though. I think instead of Angeline, I'll pretend my husband is saying Jolene with the rest of the lyrics. |
