The only thing is that we need a video of the proposal and the song. I see ones of the proposal separate from the song or the whole entire acoustic set. uhm found one *lol* CLICK

Actually don't mind that the songs are radio-friendly. No problem with that at all. But a song can still be very radio-friendly without all the tweeking and compressing they lay over the songs after they are recorded. Takes away a big chunk of the emotion in the songs (at least it does for me), which is why I enjoy the songs so much more when I hear them live.
I do agree with the statement that they are in a different place and write different things, which is a good thing and which I like. It's not so much the content of the songs that doesn't connect with me as it is the lyrical style I suppose. Compared to the first two albums the lyrics aren't as much filled with imagery and metaphors anymore, the lyrics are much more 'average' (dare I say). I may be nitpicking but I suppose it's the poet in me that enjoys the more elaborate lyrics (which I do see in a lot of bonus tracks, which always makes me wonder why those songs/lyrics don't make the album cuts)

I saw that vid too. Very cool and funny! If you figure out how to make it viral (which I'm sure you could with your crazy thoughts ) let me know, and I'll join you in your efforts! Cool! Thanks for volunteering. I will definitely take you up on that A few of us are working on a plan to edit the video and get permission from Mark and Melissa and all. We might try to push the effort on Jason's birthday as another present we'll try to give him and Lifehouse. It got put on the back burner while we all got together and started the charity drive though. But I'll definitely share information as I get it and you guys can let me know if you have any creative ideas for making it spread like wildfire all over the interwebs! And to boot... Lifehouse responded that they would like to see fan submissions for a video to Falling In, so maybe as a community, we can come up with some cool idea and put THAT into action! I think that could be a lot of fun and cool for us and the band. I don't know how I get myself into these things, but I sure do love it! lol

Did anyone notice the recycling of the expression "falling awake"? I was listening to Easier To Be when I heard it and thought: hey, that expression is also in Angeline!

I didn't see your post earlier, but what happened is one fan got permission from a bunch of people who took videos and put together the best footage into one video with a few titles and stuff. I really think this video could go viral! Everybody loves watching unique proposals! So we want to spread this beyond just the Lifehouse community. I have started on FB and twitter and will e-mail everyone I know. Can you all do the same? This would be another added bonus to Jason's birthday if we could make it get a ton of hits! So, here is the link! Enjoy and please spread the word. youtu.be/7nwdELWhWnIDoes anyone have any ideas on other creative ways to spread the word about the video?

I hate to be "that guy," but am I the only one that thinks the title could use a slight change from "proposes to a guy" to something more like "proposes for a girl," or anything that won't drum up immature, anti-Lifehouse comments that attempt to make assumptions about J?
Good way to spread word, post it on their FB wall, post it on your FB and tag Lifehouse on it, Twitter posts, etc. Also perhaps shoot an email to music blog sites or places like alternativeaddiction and ask them to write a short piece and link to the video. I'm sure the guys at AA would love to put something up especially if it's about fans making a push for his birthday!

I think we were just playing off the joke that Jason made during the proposal and I thought it was so funny and thought it would grab people's attention. But you're right! The general public is going to misconstrue this and focus on that instead of the awesome video and song. I'm really glad you said something and I really like the idea of changing it to "for a girl" I sent that suggestion to the owner of the video. I'm pretty sure it's easy to make an adjustment to the title of the video. Thanks for the ideas on spreading it around! I'm not that familiar with Alternative Addiction. Once we change the title, is there anyone who would be willing to volunteer to pitch it to them? UPDATE: IT'S ALREADY BEEN CHANGED! THANKS AGAIN FOR THE SUGGESTION.... IT TAKES A VILLAGE!
