Thought I would bump this up to remind people about Jason's birthday project that Emily is putting together.
In addition, fans have banned together for a charity drive in honor of Jason's birthday. We asked Lifehouse if there were any charities they felt strongly about supporting and they answered with "Musicians On Call" which is something that they've been involved with since the release of "Smoke and Mirrors" ... so here's the spiel:

Added all infos Christy Thanks Minka! We've raised almost $450 on the paypal site and I know that many people are donating directly to the Musicians On Call site as well. So, the total is going to be much higher than that. Exciting to say the least. Rianne, you don't have to be on Twitter to read their tweets, their page is twitter.com/lifehousemusic I'm happy that so many fans are a part of this wonderful thing, I remember when we did some charity stuff back in the Serge/Sean days, I don't think we got so much money together than we already have now, that was of course before FB and Twitter, which is a great way to connect with other fans about it. I still have the vid for Ricky's certificate delivery by Sean, that was fun  Maybe Bryce could give Jason a certificate with all our names  |

That is so cool! But I'm not on twitter. What did they tweet? They retweeted other people's tweets about the fundraiser with links to the donation page and the FB group. Unfortunately, the FB group is disabled for some reason. Not sure why. In the meantime, I set up a PAGE and invited everyone on my friends list. This fundraiser thingie is sooo incredibly cool! I'm going to do my best to donate as well.

That'd be great if you could donate too I am happy to report that we've raised over $700 through the paypal donation link (which does not include donations made directly to the Musicians On Call site) And in even MORE fantastic news, Lifehouse put the following post on FB: A very thoughtful, generous idea for Jason's upcoming birthday from some of Lifehouse's amazing fans.. A donation drive for their supported charity, Musicians on Call. Check out the link t.co/nmp91L4and it posted again on twitter!!!! How awesome is that??? I was floored!!! I'm like so happy. It's going to help so much! |

If someone really wants to make a donation but cannot use any of those means, we might be able to work out something where we can donate on your behalf and you send money to us some other way. I will take that on a case by case basis. Maybe you can DM me if you'd like to work something out? Minka ... what did Paperback Hero say about the campaign? Did they post on twitter or FB? That's awesome though. I would like to make sure we thank them. And to everyone who wants to submit to the scrapbook that Emily is making.... better hurry!!!! I would like to make sure we thank them. on FB (June 26th) "our good friend Jason of Lifehouse has a birthday coming up and all he wants is a little help raising some money for "Musicians On Call Charity Drive"with the link to the FB MOC page for Jason Bryan was really nice about it and didn't mind posting it, he said Paperback Hero did a show for MOC few years ago. I already thanked them, but the more the better |
