Minka ... what did Paperback Hero say about the campaign? Did they post on twitter or FB? That's awesome though. I would like to make sure we thank them.  on FB (June 26th) "our good friend Jason of Lifehouse has a birthday coming up and all he wants is a little help raising some money for "Musicians On Call Charity Drive"with the link to the FB MOC page for Jason Bryan was really nice about it and didn't mind posting it, he said Paperback Hero did a show for MOC few years ago. I already thanked them, but the more the better Wow! That is REALLY excellent. How awesome of him. |

So far we've raised over $1400 but the day is not over yet!!! We're going to put an amount in the video that we're sending him, I believe... or we'll tweet it... or send him a giant Pringles check! ROFL (Pinkpop interview reference)  If anyone is on twitter, please use the hashtag #HappyBirthdayJasonWade today ... trying to get it trending even though the caseyabrams case will probably not allow that.  Also... have you considered Jasonifying your pictures on the web in honor of Jason's birthday?  DO ITTTTT!!!! |

LOL! I just got a call from my bank: "We have blocked your credit card because of a suspicious transaction". Me: "Oh my, what was the transaction?" Lady from customer service: "There was a small amount transferred to Musicians on Call". Apparently, MOC is very suspicious The lady told me that they blocked my card after that transaction, so I'm hoping the donation went through just fine. Nothing but love for the Rabobank though. I think it's great that they are so hands on with credit card fraud! |

That charity drive is one of the most cool things I've ever been involved in. Thanks to everyone who encouraged, worked on, donated, and otherwise supported the project in ANY way. It really brought the community together in a great way. I am so grateful for that. And I realized just how kind and giving and supportive of friends that I have through the love of the band Lifehouse. I think that is the most priceless and precious thing ever. You all rock! I really saw what people could accomplish together that we could never do on our own. That was so neat. I still get the best feeling ever just thinking about it. Sorry to be so sappy, but I just feel like this is what life should be all about... these kinds of things. <3 And best of all, I can picture the faces of people who are feeling sick finding moments of joy through music... something that can bring them peace and happiness and healing. Music is the thread that ties this all together... ties us all together. |
