I like general admission. You can earn a spot up front by waiting in line all day. With reserved seating, it's mostly luck.

Uggggh, the Orpheum. what's wrong with the Orpheum? It's reserved seating. better than general admission like most of the other venues they are playing =) 1- It's uncomfortable. 2- When sitting, can't see. 3- When standing, can't see. 4- It's uncomfortable. 5- No parking nearby, so walking alone back to your car at night isn't fun. 6- It's uncomfortable! Hahaha, I've just always hated that place, I still go, but if it's not "necessary," I usually skip it. And yeah! Crap shoot when it's reserved seating, it's outta your hands, GA I'm usually always front row. So we'll see. I AM still going, if I can get a ticket Saturday!

Anyone know how to get presale for the Detroit concert at the Fillmore?
My mom really wants to go (she's never seen LH live), but at nearly 60, a cancer-survivor, and having already had knee-replacement surgery, we have to get reserved seating... just want to make sure I can do that for her.
Thanks in advance!

I'm still waiting to hear from LiveNation on the presale password. Go to their fan site on facebook and go to the discussion section. They talk about three they've used recently. The most recent is flute, IF it's a LiveNation presale. If it's a radio station or credit card or some other kind of presale, then that won't work. There were three they mentioned on facebook, so I suppose you could try the other two if flute didn't work. It looked like the balcony was going to be all reserved with GA below. Is that the impression you got?

They are having VIP packages for some of the shows: Check Out Lifehouse's "All In" VIP Experience! Posted by TeamIGA on 8/27/2010 | Comments (1) We are very excited to announce the "All In" VIP experience for select cities on our upcoming tour. Packages include: either premium seating in seated venues or early admission in GA venues, pre-parties, signed merchandise, and more.... Be sure to check each package for specific details. For more information click HERE!It looks like the packages include: VIP Entrance Early Admission Access to VIP Balcony Admission to the official Lifehouse Pre-party with open bar and food (No band members are guaranteed to attend) One (1) Signed Limited Edition Tour Poster One (1) Commemorative Laminate and it looks like it's $169 a person. I'm sorry, I'm disappointed in that. $169? The Philly show is $32 a ticket. That's about 5x the price of a ticket!! I know I can't afford to spend that much just to get in early, get something signed, and *maybe* see the band.

For shits and giggles earlier, I did VIP to see what came up..... row PP, outside the "10 rows" thing...?, unless they've since fixed it (cuz now row KK comes up.... all this just doing 1 ticket) and for the "regular" price, I couldn't have asked for a better seat, row DD. Oh! And this is for the Boston show.

you've got to be shitting me with this whole VIP thing. i hate it. HATE it. -the price tag is OUTRAGEOUS (5 times the price of a ticket!) -you're not even guaranteed to meet the band -because VIPs get early admission my hard-earned spot in the front row from waiting in line all day may no longer be there
i don't like the idea of paying for something that i've gotten for free for 5 years but i'd do it for LH but for i simply can't afford to pay THAT much money to guarantee a front row spot which is the only prize with any appeal. i've shelled out hundreds of dollars to support this band but this is where i have to draw the line. the prizes have hardly any monetary value (a poster? laminate? give me a break). they've either put the real fans who can't afford this at a disadvantage or forced us to pay and are therefore taking advantage of our devotion. i doubt that the band members had a big say in any of this but the whole thing leaves a really bad taste in my mouth.
i hate to say it, but i'm disappointed.

Gosh, even Daughtry's VIP was cheaper and you did get to meet the band. There's was $100 and I still think that was excessive (of course I wasn't going to pay for that).
That is wrong and I agree with Katelyn. They are giving fans who can't afford it less opportunity to have a closer seat.

Well said Kate.
I was in the car with my future mother in law and I screamed, "What the f*ck?!" after seeing the VIP packages. She gasped and said, "Michele! I've never heard you curse before!" and I said, "Sorry... this is a big deal... it's Lifehouse stuff." lol lol lol !

yeah i agree. this is BS. i think it may be beneficial to the seated shows...but for GA, it's incredibly unfair. i'd say most of their hardcore fanbase can't afford $169 a ticket. and then to stand outside all day only to have God knows how many people walk in before you at the last minute....man, this is a really dumb idea. paying for front row is just really snotty, in my humble opinion.
a lot of bands seem to be doing this VIP package thing lately. i know switchfoot and mutemath did it. i don't like the trend. the whole idea of letting people in first because they have more money is going back to an era where money meant more than devotion.
