I had the cold too..was sick most of last week..thanks to the weather. For the last week or so, we had pretty bad storms - heavy rains & strong winds - and the week before that, it was so hot & sunny. I guess that's sort of the downside of living right smack at the equator..we don't have seasons but the weather can be pretty erratic.

Last night, a year 12 prefect at my school passed away of a heart attack. R.I.P, Andrew Mulligan. You were a wonderful leader, and could always be counted on to cheer us up when we were down. Please, keep his family in your prayers if you pray. And if you don't, send some good thoughts their way.

I tried wiring 40 EUR to the German Embassy in Spain this week, there was a service fee of 30 Dollars. Today I got an email from the embassy telling me that they only received 14.68 EUR because the Spanish bank they used charged an other fee as well. So I basically spent 90 dollars for nothing, the banks took all my money and I still need to find a way to pay the outstanding 25.82 EUR to the Embassy. Great.

i just saw Jimmy Eat World at the horrible horrible house of blues. HOWEVER, the men were amazing! i cannot say how much i appreciated them doing this tour (as a celebration of 'clarity' coming out 10 years ago they pick 10 cities and played the album in full). this is one of my ALL-TIME favorite albums, not just of the band's, but ever. and oh my word, they did it complete and amazing justice. im so very amped now but with nothing to do! also the stupid HOB took my camera so i have no photos or videos or anything. but still, worth it.

^ Allie, you are so damn lucky!
I just spent over $100 on frames for my Lifehouse posters, set lists and ticket stubs. Thank you Karen for the posters you sent me, they look so nice!

Clarity is my favourite JEW album, and yikes, I can't believe you get to listen to Just Watch the Fireworks live! Lucky! Did you get to talk to the guys after the show? I just came back from a screening of Watchmen! Tired.

Lucky! yeah. that pretty much had me in tears the entire time, im not gonna lie.. and no, i didnt get to talk to them afterwards. ive met them before though so i didnt feel too disappointed, but i couldnt find the bus anywhere which is weird cause its downtown and there is only parking on the street so i dunno. also when i came home they twittered they were on their way to arizona literally less than an hour after the show got out, so i assume theyre pretty busy already being on the road and what not!

My friend is in the hospital right now because his appendix burst (and it also infected his colon in the process). I visited him today at the hospital and he looked really weak and still is in a lot of pain. Please send him some good vibes. He was really lucky he made it to the hospital in time or this could have been fatal.
