He's 28. And I'm 16 now, kleiny That's a clue to run like hell....if you didn't have enough clues already! Oh yeah you guys. The term pedophile comes to mind...might want to check the FBI most wanted sex offenders for a match. If not there, I'm guessing that guy is going to show up someday on Dateline. Back to another topic though--I think we should set a date and time and try to outdo that "most people online" number--then we will know the answer next time a semi-newbie asks!

Aw, I was hoping this was the year for both Leo and Kate to finally win Golden Globes. At least Kate Winslet won (2). Her second speech was so cute! I can't wait to see revolutionary road. I'm seeing it with my sister on wednesday

Kate's acceptance speech was something! I'm all confused who she's in love with more -- Leo or her husband. I think they might be confused, too.

I feel pain in my face just looking at them. I liked Steven Speilberg's speech.

- From Trainspotting to a golden globe award winning director. Danny Boyle sure has come a long way! - How the hell can Man U trash Chelsea so easily? What in the world is Scolari doing?! - I've been procrastinating so much lately. Could someone please find a cure to this? A pill or anything! My finals will not fare so well if I continue at this rate. Sigh. - I would rather watch movies like Stage Beauty and/or Little Manhattan just to avoid picking up my books - Yuliya, I'm sorry if you've posted this elsewhere but I would love to hear your stories from Ukraine and your trip around Europe. Pictures too, pretty please? :] - Julia if you're reading this, which countrycountries have you been globe trekking lately? - I'm addicted to Subway. Joy.

Yuliya, I'm sorry if you've posted this elsewhere but I would love to hear your stories from Ukraine and your trip around Europe. Pictures too, pretty please? :] Oops. I did mean to post stuff on the board, but I guess I got busy and forgot to. Here's a recap of my trip: My sister had been studying abroad in Prague since September, and her semester abroad was over, so instead of just flying home, we flew to her, and then went over to Ukraine. Prague was soo pretty. Every street and sidewalk was cobblestone, and every building had such beautiful architecture. It was really lovely town. My sister showed us around and took us to all her favorite tourist attractions and landmarks. The weather in Prague wasn't too bad. It was a bit chilly, but it didn't bother me too much. Unfortunately, my last night in Prague, I think I caught a mild case of food poising or something and spent the whole night sick and throwing up. Anyway, the next time my family and I got onto a sleeper car train. I like to call this the "train ride from hell" :-P My family cannot pack light, and we had 9 suitcases! (granted 3 of them were my sister's cause she spent 4 months in Europe). And with those suitcases, we barely fit in our room on the train. Anyway, there are so many things I could list that were terrible about that train (and don't even get me started on the bathroom lol), but I'll avoid that. At 6 am the train stopped for 6 hours in Krakow, Poland, so me, my dad, and my sister got off to walk around and look. My sister had already been to Krakow so she knew were to go and what to see. My favorite thing in Poland was the castle. At 12 we boarded the train again and were stuck on it until 10 am the next day when we arrived in Kiev, Ukraine. I'm originally from Kiev, along with my family. I lived there until I was about 4, but my parents lived and worked there most of their lives so they had a lot of friends still in Ukraine. We had never been back to Ukraine since we moved to America 15 years ago. We were greeted by two of my dad's former students that he kept in touch with to this day. They let us stay in their extra apartment while we were there which was sweet. Since my parents had so many friends to visit while in Ukraine, we did more people-seeing than sight seeing while we were there. Each day we'd sight see for a little bit, and spend the rest of the day and night over at people's houses for dinner. It was kind of boring for me, but it obviously made my parents very happy to see their friend's that the haven't seen in 15 years. The only thing that bothered me was how some people talked to me. Because I moved to America was I was 4, I kind of lost touch with the Russian language, and it was never really developed since I was so young. At home, my parents speak russian to me, but I respond to them in English, so I understand Russian, but I don't speak it too well (and I have a major accent ). So some people treated me like a 5 year old because they thought I couldn't understand them just because I couldn't respond very well. Anyway, the churches in Ukraine were really pretty. Unlike some of the other churches I saw in Europe, they were very colorful and bright. On our last night in Ukraine, my parent's friends who let us stay in their apartment took us to the Opera House and we got to see "The Nutcracker" ballet which was very cool. The weather in Ukraine however, wasn't as pleasant as Prague. Most of the time, it was below freezing and snowing. I lost feeling in my toes more times than I can count lol. Anyway, New Year's Eve we got on a plane and headed back to America. Because of time zone changes, we managed to make it back to America around 3 and still get to celebrate NYE (expect for the fact that I was totally jet lagged and fell asleep until my dad woke me up at 11:30 lol). Here are photos in case anyone's interested link

I feel like having a poor-me emo moment.
Or more nachos. Can't decide yet.
Speaking of nachos, I went to make some yesterday, and opened the salsa jar to discover a small eco-system of mold and other free-moving organisms.
Perhaps it's time to clean out my fridge?

I remember when my roomie and I made crepes. We made so much dough that we had a lot left after we finished eating..and then we put it in the fridge....and forgot about it... for 7 months... let me tell you we had quite a surprise waiting for us when we lifted up that tinfoil. It was breathing!
