new Vertical Horizon, new July For Kings, JR Richards solo debut, new Meese, new Rob Thomas, new Adelitas Way, new Our Lady Peace!!, Third Eye Blind, Sister Hazel, Jet, Hotspur, Pete Yorn, and some local dutch stuff... and almost the new Little Things That Kill album... plenty of good new stuff, I'm like a kid in a candystore lately.

man, the past 3-4 months, I've been in a heavy Okkervil River mood. so it kinda made me not care about new music..anyways, here's my list at the... HALF YEAR MARK1. Animal Collective - Merriweather Post Pavilion 2. Bomb the Music Industry! - Scrambles3. Balmorhea - All Is Wild, All Is Silent 4. Dan Deacon - Bromst 5. Meg & Dia - Here, Here and Here 6. I think the upcoming Meese album is my favorite of the new releases.. It just sounds very fresh. The music is good, but I guess not necessarily the most mind-blowing, but it just sounds right, and it makes me smile.

^^their EP didnt convince me, but this new album of theirs is pretty. Maybe with more listens i'll have standout fav songs, but right now..it's a good summer-ish album.

So far, "Bonfire" is making me smile the most, hehe..
Really getting into JR Richards album too now.. and I heard some stuff for the OLP album, looks like Raine and the gang are definitely getting the guitars back in gear.

i saw them open for jack's mannequin last fall and loved them. i can't wait to hear the album. Have you listen to The Format? It's basically the lead singer's old band.. sounds almost the same. I've been going back and forth between the two albums and I'm not sure which i like better. I'm leading towards the former just because of these two songs, She Doesn't Get It, Dog Problems-------------------- Why? - Eskimo Snow. jj - jj nº 2 this is so chill. i love it. They have one song that sample'd lil wayne that made me go 'what the.' other than that, its really chill. Jordin Sparks - Battlefield. She is such a guilty pleasure of mine. runs a little long. "No Parade" is probably going to be her big hit. The Cast Before The Break - Still, They really slow'd down their sound. I can't get into it. I'll keep trying. |

There's 30 second samples of each song on iTunes. I must say the album sounds rather promising but its hard to tell from just 30 seconds of each song.

Album leaked..or a band that sounds like them faked leaked...
but if this is the real album..theres a lot more screaming then what i'm used to hearing from them. this is based on a 1st listen. what did you think eeliza?

That 30s clip of Undisclosed Desires is enough to make me   ------- I wouldn't rule screaming completely out of BN's new album. If there's more of it, it only makes sense because Vin wrote most of the songs in Daisy. Speaking of Brand New, they're making their way to SJSU in October. You should go. |
