Why is everyone getting the flu? Uggggh. I got it from my mum and brother. Tried to prevent it, but it didn't let me. I just feel so lethargic and icky. I want to write something. Maybe I should just start scribbling for the heck of it and it'll end up looking half decent. *lol* Haven't written in months.

Oh, my gosh! You work at In and Out Burger? Of course, we don't have those in South Louisiana, but a long time friend of mine is from Monterey, and she always tells me how good they are! Are they really that excellent, and if so, what makes them that way??

Oh, my gosh! You work at In and Out Burger? Of course, we don't have those in South Louisiana, but a long time friend of mine is from Monterey, and she always tells me how good they are! Are they really that excellent, and if so, what makes them that way?? hahha! yes, they really are that excellent, sorry to rub it in. but they are so good because, ahem... our buns - are made form fresh baked sponge dough. basically the exact same way they have been for 60 years. the company we buy them from keeps trying to make us buy theiur regualr buns now days, which we flat out refuse to do, because the sponge dough takes something like an extra 45 minutes to make and theyre cheaper, but we refuse! our meat - we select only the best cows. seriously, out of all the high grade cows they give us, we only still take like 10% of those to use as our meat. basically, you can eat it raw and be perfectly fine.. and mmm do i love mine rare. our produce - we hand leaf, yes HAND leaf, our lettuce every single day. and let me tell you, it takes FOREVER. our potatoes all come in fresh, and we peel them, then we hand dice them, then we fry them. and we do not allow our fries to sit, for if they do, we must throw them out as we cannot serve lukewarm fries to customers. our tomatoes are ginormous; we get them specially from certain farmers and they are huge, literally like you can hold one in your hand at a time, and they are pumped with steroids or w/e, its just the type they are and we only accept the large ones. also we hand slice those many times throughout the day. and our onions are on par with our tomatoes, being ginormous. and we again hand slice and chop them for raw or grilled onions, respectively. shakes - made with real ice cream and only in the classic flavors of chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry. prices and menu and times - our prices are very affordable especially when you consider how high the quality is and how much labor goes into it all. the menu has remained the same since 1948, simply burgers, fries, sodas, and shakes. literally, thats all. no onion rings no matter how many people ask. and we are open very late. every night until 1 am and on fridays and saturdays until 1:30am. secret menu - yes, we have a "secret" menu, but not really. there includes 'animal fries,' which we melt two slices of cheese on the grill with the grilled onions, we flip it onto a fry and add on our spread (which is a secret mix of things, but generally, its similar to thousand island dressing). we have 'protein style' burgers, which can be done to any of our burgers and means it has no bun but its wrapped in lettuce. we have 'animal style' which can be done to any of the burgers, which is where we fry mustard onto the meat patty as its on the grill, use our grilled onions, add pickles, and put on extra spread. there's a 'flying dutchman' which is just two meat patties and two cheeses, no bun, no nothing else. 'grilled cheese' which is basically a burger with no meat but two slices of cheese. uh.... 'neapolitan shakes' which is simply a mix of all the flavors in one. and other random things you can do like get your fries well (extra crispy), light (mushier), meat rare, meat well, buns extra toasted or not toasted at all, chile peppers put on the burgers, whole grilled onions, ect. ect. whew. if you actually read that all. well, wow. haha i do love my work though. they treat us all SO well. starting pay is $10 and hour and you get raises so quickly. its great.

Some bad news... I'm about to lose my job because last week we found out that our university is with a huge, critical financial problem. That's a shame. I have a 12 month contract that ends next January 15 and i'm afraid it won't be renewed. I love that place
