Oh, yeah, I am not going to be Grace for halloween anymore; I think I'd like to dress up as a witch! lol. I could not find any red wigs anywhere! i hate baton rouge!

oh, yeah, i keep forgetting to post stuff. haha. if you're interested in getting any vitamins from the internet go to www.herbalremedies.com I get the Orchard Fruits supplement pills and from www.naturemade.com I get the vitamin C and the Calcium, magnesium, Zinc, and vitamin D. I take each of those daily, and I have felt better ever since. ;D |

i never get the flu shot. i honestly dont think i ever have, even when i was younger. i usually dont get sick though. so this is really weird. buts its a cold i have.. which i think is leaving me! so that is good. yeah same with me. i've never gotten a flu shot. everyone i talk to who gets the shot, gets the flu. i don't see the purpose. i have a pretty good immune system. but if i get it, i get it. |

yeah, people between 16 - 50 don't usually get it though, but i'm in a high risk group apparently, so i get it if i want it anyway.. I don't usually get it, but i was getting in and out of the flu this year, so i figured i'd get it..
and yeah, it makes the symptoms worse for a day or so, but then it gets better and you should be able to fight it better

^Yeah flu shots are weird like that. You can't get the flu from getting the flu shot because the viruses in the vaccine are dead, but a lot of people still get sick during the flu season because the vaccine only covers the most common strains. And it takes about 2 weeks for the vaccine to work, so people are at risk of getting sick during that time (especially if they waited until the height of the flu season to get the vaccine).
I dunno, it's probably just coincidence, but I seem to get the flu annually now that I get the flu shots. When I get the flu though, it's much milder than it would be if I didn't get the shot... body doesn't really ache, and it takes me half the time to get better. I don't fall into the high risk group, but there's a lot of sick people in the neighborhood where I go to school, so we're encouraged to get the flu shot. With four hospitals in the same block, and so many people walking about, I always worry that I might get someone sick whose immune system can't handle it. So I get the flu shot even though it doesn't work 100%.
Oh yeah, washing hands is key too.

I have to get a flu shot in two weeks... feel better koen!! I just found out I'm going to Europe over winter break!!! My sister is studying abroad in Prague this semester, so my parents told me that they bought the plane tickets, and we're going to fly out and visit her in Prague and sightsee for a few days, and then we're going to take the train over to Ukraine for a few days (my family's from Ukraine and I lived there until I was about 4 years old, but don't really remember it). I'm really excited!! |

Thanks you guys... it's not too bad.. just need to take some rest instead of doing all kinds of stuff.. but yeah Laura, it's right what you say.. with the shot I usually get better faster too.
And Yuliya, that sounds cool, have fun. Prague's cool in the winter, especially with snow.. gets a bit magical

i just won high school musical 3 movie tickets on the radio. i'm not even a fan. it was just random that i won.
my husband now has to go to mexico in less than a month after he just got back from germany & utaly a few weeks ago.

I randomly found $19 in my purse today while grocery shopping, it was awesome especially considering I forgot my credit card at home and when I was looking for it I found cash and no card. I couldn't believe it though, I dig through my purse everyday and I never carry cash so I have no idea where it came from.
