Say It Now (July For Kings)

I blogged about this yesterday, but I figured there would be JFK fans on here too. After a long time, they reunited earlier this year and they are readying their album.

Joe is releasing an album of acoustic demos on iTunes & CDBaby soon, and the new July For Kings album with a mix of re-do older songs and a whole batch of new songs is being mixed and stuff. The first song to be released (to the internet) is "Say It Now", which is a very poppy rock & roll song, uptempo, nice tune, sticks in you head easily. Joe said there'll be harder rocking songs on the album too, but that they were trying to find a balance between their more alternative and their more mainstream side.

Thanks for this. I have to say though at first listen, Say It Now sounded a little messy. The keyboard/piano thing going on in the background didn't really fit for me. Perhaps if they entered into the chorus with guitar riff distortions that may be a better option. Loved the little cello addition however, albeit soft.

Speaking of OneRepublic, I hear they'll be the opening act for Maroon 5 in the Asia Pacific tour.

I tried to write down the lyrics for "Say It Now", this is what I got. There probably are some flaws still, but hopefully the bulk of it is correct

I think that you got the bulk of the lyrics correct, though I heard a few things differently in this verse...
