I'm curious. A lot of people are from different places over here. I would be interested to know what you consider your favorite band, coming from your area/state/province/county/country. Just post the name of the band, website (maybe also myspace so we can listen). I'll start... My favorite band which is actually from a town close to where I live, but it's also my favorite band from the Netherlands. Name: Rosemary's Sons Website: www.rosemaryssons.comMyspace: www.myspace.com/rosemaryssons

I really liked Moving Mountains. I already knew the Hush Sound.. I think they're pretty good, but for some reason they can't keep me interested for a long stretch of time.. Like, I like to have them in my playlist but I get a little bored when I listen to them song after song. I have yet to listen to Arisen, but knowing your musical taste I will probably enjoy it

Hmm, there are a few - not exactly brilliant however But towards the indie side, I would recommend: Name: Ferns MySpace: www.myspace.com/fernfrensMusically it sounds dreamy-like, but I'm all up for their lyrics

what the hell liza. whenever we're online you only talk about your cheap late 90s-ish sounding bands. Ferns is good, why did you hide that from me.

Columbus Zoo www.myspace.com/columbuszooThey're a rap group from where I grew up. I went to school with most of the members. It really started as a joke last year, but now they're ligit and put out tracks every time they get together. One that isn't from Ohio that I really like is the Silversun Pickups www.myspace.com/silversunpickups

Alex Hunter www.alexhuntersasylum.comHe's from my hometown. I actually go to school with him. It's really weird to be listening to a song on your mp3 player then look down the hall and see the person who sings it.

Local band from Providence: ZOX www.zoxband.com/www.myspace.com/zox They are sooo amazing and they really deserve to be more famous. they ooze talent. and they are simply some of the nicest guys you'll ever meet. annnnd Stealing Jane www.myspace.com/stealingjane www.stealingjane.comthey are also an awesome band that i actually just discovered about 3 days ago when i saw them in concert. they play a killer stage show. brass instruments and lots of energy. some more awesome guys who will hang around all night with their fans or anyone who wants to talk to them. they were actually supposed to open for lifehouse at the webster show, and after talking to them, i found that they were really bummed that they didn't get to play that night opening for lifehouse. they kinda got overlooked in the whole crazy ordeal, cause they didnt make a big deal of it, but they weren't happy about what happened. It's a shame, because i think lifehouse fans especially would really like them, they get you pumped. i dunno. anyways. check them out, they rawk.
