I don't want to argue with you guys. You are Lifehouse fans and the best people on earth. I personally believe Obama wears a mask and it's starting to come off. I think he is rooted in Marxist ideology and that he looks down on those in middle America. I don't get this impression from the media. I get this impression by studying the man and listening to his words, his wife's words and the reverand that has been so influential and present in his life for the past 20 years. Quite frankly, he scares the hell out of me at this point. I don't like McCain either, and Hillary is just ridiculous. I'll just be glad when this election is over.

I'll just be glad when this election is over. that's something I'm looking forward to too... it's really becoming a circus, and it's not the cool Lifehouse kind of circus. edit: I think this sums up the media circus.

I normally wouldn't read the Daily Kos, but I agree with the point being made completely.

Obama a racist? You clearly have not done your research well enough on this man to form an opinion not manipulated by the media. What in Obama's history that you know of would make you even fix your fingers to even write "Obama is a racist?" Seriously, where did you get that from? Obama has spent his entire political career fighting for the lower class. I live in Chicago and I've known about him since 2002. Not that I knew all what he was doing then, but I know the outcome of his work. This is what pisses me off so much about the media. That debate was a piece of shit because all it did was ask them both questions that "journalist" want to write about and didn't prove a damn thing about why one is better than the other. The fact is Obama is a better leader than Clinton because he's manages to get more supporters for him in 15 months, than she has in more than 3 years of planning her presidential run. If Hilary was such a great candidate then she would be able to dent his market. His lead in North Carolina hasn't moved while her lead in Pennsylvania has gone from 12% to 5%. C'mon now. Are you really listening to either of their message or doing what the media is telling you? Furthermore (no, I'm not done), being interracial is difficult growing up because you see one thing at home, yet are told another from society. Obama's father is a black man from Africa and his mother is white. He was raised by his mother and grandmother in Hawaii and barely saw his father. When he moved inland into the states back in the 70's he had find himself and discover who he is. When he came to Chicago he was accepted with open arms by the black community where he finally felt he fit in. He's right, no where in the world would his story even be possible. To go from where he's been to where he's at now is amazing. He's explained himself about this whole stupid ass thing with the bitter comments, and frankly if anyone else needs more explanation on it this after hearing his response, then you need to vote for Bush come November.

I don't think Obama is a racist. This race is like any other. One side says something, the other side criticizes every little thing that was said, the other side defends and criticizes something the other side said. It always goes back and forth, like a tennis match. And thats how I feel about this race. Its no different than others, well....with the exception of the actual candidates. My parents and I are registered so we have been getting mail addressed to the family. Lately we get a Hilary is great, Obama is a stupid racist flyer/letter and an Obama is great, Hilary is a stupid bitch flyer/letter on the same day. So even in the mail it goes back and forth. And all of us know thats what its all about. Its just a matter of he said, she said. Soo who really knows? Still, I don't know who I'm gonna vote for on Tuesday. ooh geezzz I know. Most likely I'll ask my dad who he is gonna vote for and go with his choice. I trust my dad and brother. They know much more than me when it comes to politics and judging who will be best. Is that bad?

Yeah, I'm about debated out. Can you actually believe Hillary wants more debates? Please, we just want to see this shit end.
And seriously, I don't care how much longer the Dems keep going, McClain is sooo not winning

She is gonna want as many debates as possible. It's just more chances for Obama to fuck up. I used to think McCain couldn't win either no matter what the Dems did, but now I think it's a real possiblity. Just the way this race spliting the party may make it imposible for any Democrat to put together 270 electoral votes in November. I think if the Dems get a nominee soon they'll have McCain put away way before the conventions, but if the nomination fight lasts through the convention in August McCain may be to far ahead in the battleground states for either Clinton or Obama to catch him.

I think it'll get better before it gets worst because there are no more "BIG" states for Hillary to try to win. I think Obama will get Indiana and NC and WY, so her arguement is going to be even more harder to prove. Not that she's still not gonna try, I know, but I still think his arguement is even stronger.
I know McClain has a strong chance and to be honest, I'll be fine with him as a president. But I really think once we have a nominee and they go head to head with McClain then voters are gonna vote Dem. I think the Dems have more support in the number of voters coming out to vote in the primaries. The Republicans can't match that in th General.

I'm all for Obama taking on Hillary in a Lincoln-Douglas style debate. The way that Lincoln and Douglas did their debates was that the first person spoke for an hour, the second person spoke for an hour and a half, and then the first person speaks again for half an hour. But we all know that isn't what Hillary is referring to when she says she wants to debate like Lincoln and Douglas -- what she really wants is a verbal fist fight, to try to bring Obama down to her mean-spirited level.
When Bill Clinton spoke at my college graduation last summer, and said all those inspiring things about how we need to stand together, be model global citizens, and do our part to better the world -- I believed him. Now I can't believe the selfishness I am seeing coming out of the Clintons. Why is she doing all she can to paint Obama as this horrible person and how come she doesn't do any of that to McCain? The scary thing is that it seems like Clinton honestly believes that McCain will make a better president than Obama. It makes me wonder if she even cares about the Democratic party and its core ideals? Or is it all about herself? Does she even care about improving the Democrats position in Congress and in state and local government? If she does, why is she throwing so many people under the bus, why is she alienating black voters, and why is she so dismissive of states that have not gone her way?
I am not ok with a McCain presidency. The guy may be a decent person, but just being a decent person does not help the poor and the shrinking middle class, it doesn't ensure equal opportunity for all, and it does not restore trust in our government.

It's become clear to me that this is all about herself. I always felt that she didn't really want Kerry to win in 2004, so she could be the nominee in '08. Now I think she wants to either steal the nomination this year or make it so Obama won't be able to win so she'll have her chance in 2012. More and More I feel like she and the people around are like Bush and his cronies. Not in policy, but just in the way they go about things. They seem to be very insular, take the if you're not with us you're against us attitude and have the tendency to ignore or even deny facts.

Hillary's basically lowering the Democrats chances for the presidency. I still think the Democratic candidate will have an edge over the Republican candidate, but the gap between them's shrinking with the speed of light.
Obama, I think, still is reacting too much instead of being proactive. I'm not saying he should lower himself to Hillary's level, but if he wants to be the clear winner, because she makes some valid points about winning the big states, and blablabla, that might convince a number of superdelegates, he needs to do something else than just talking about what he'd do different than John McCain. He's not running against John McCain yet, he needs to beat Hillary Clinton first.
I'm just hoping for you guys that if this goes to the convention (and I don't see why it wouldn't) this won't get even more ugly and ruin the Democrats chances in the general election.

I think his "friend", Reverand "Wright" has destroyed Obama's chances. Oh well, at least now the good reverand can still say America is racist and that is why Obama lost.
