hey can i ask you guys for something.. could you pray/think good thoughts for koen and me? we really are hoping he will get into grad school out here this year, because being in a long distant relationship for 2+ years now has really been hard and we're ready to end it. (plus, the southwestern us would be the perfect place for him since he is studying this area.) it's hard though since we are in different countries.. it's not so easy to just move to one since we are not citizens of the others. i just want this to be the year when we can finally see each other on a more normal basis, somehow. so if any of you have any room for more prayers or good vibes, i would really appreciate it. i dunno if it'll help, but it can't hurt, right? hehe thanks guys, sorry for rambling. I feel your pain! I really do! I hope everything works out for you two!!!

Aww, thank you guys.. It's been working for the past 2+ years, but yeah, we're done with the whole distance thing, not to mention that travel costs aren't getting any cheaper these days with the taxes and fuel prizes going up. I got a message of confirmation that my applications were received for most of the colleges, so hopefully at least one of them will accept my application and I can get over there to do some studying on the subject that I am actually focusing on (as their are no experts/professors for that area in the Netherlands except for one museum curator) and also I can be closer to Cayte.

don't waste your $$$ jessi. it's the thinnest book i've ever seen. and doesn't say anything that we don't already know. it's pretty cheesy. it's like a book for a 3rd or 4th grader.

I'm sending good vibes to our bord-lovers My grandpa is out of hospital, way faster then we thought, but it's Poland He needs to take care of himself even more now. Tiger burned his ass with a cigarette but thanks good nothing happened, he only burned a bit of his hair. I'm getting myself a Nintendo DS, it's so addictive, I've been playing with my niece's Nintendo DS since a while, so now it's time for my own. I'm almost done with MySims on hers. ;D

That game is great.

Yes, Tiger is my cat, my baby, the most important man in my life No haven't played it, but from what I saw of this game it seems like MySims to me. Thanks everyone.

I'll keep my fingers crossed for Koen & Cayte too. I know long distance relationships can be tough. My brother and his wife had one. His wife is from Taiwan. They met when she was in law school. When she graduated, she went back to Taiwan. They only got to see each other for 2 weeks during Christmas. And the rest of the year and a half they spent appart, just talking on the phone and internet. Soo they just loved and missed each other soo much, she got another visa and came back to the US in the summer. They got an immigration lawyer and he helped them with all the legal papers needed and they were able to get legally married, but it seems like they are always...constantly, filling out forms and legal papers to keep her in the country. Getting citizenship or even staying in the country for extended periods of time is really tough now.
But yeah just thought I would share that with you guys....
on a random note, I'm enjoying my last week of break. Just about all my friends have gone back to school soo I'm here at home with nothing to do. Ok so I'm reading The Runaway Jury but I'm afraid I will be finishing it really soon.

aw wow, thanks for sharing that story, mary. i do know other couples who have made it work, so that helps. but it does sound complicated.. i knew i could count on my fellow lifehouse fans for support. you guys are the best! also.. does anyone have any good books they could recommend? i'm looking for something to read before i go to sleep.. something fiction, maybe kind of romancey.. i dunno. any suggestions would be great!
