...but Christopher, you can't put a price on love. I thought it would be nice to have a christmas/whatever holiday you celebrate topic that would help each other out on saving money. the only one i know right now is buy.com and if you sign up to google checkout, you save 10 bucks, and a lot of CDs/DVDs are only 10 dollars right now (don't know if it works outside the U.S.) so you'll only need to pay for shipping. ===edit=== yeah, post what you're planning to get people, if you know any good deals, and post what you want this year ===edit=== |

umm, i was aiming more of a 'i dont know what to get him/her' and hoping this topic would help people get ideas, or ways to get last minute gifts, or find good prices.
but if you like, go ahead and mention what you got for others/yourself.

I like this idea. My friends and I are doing a Yankee Swap this year so I need ideas for couples gifts under $30. One of the couples is a mother/daughter with the daughter being 18.

on another note. I'm getting my friend (we had to pick a lot with a name on it to see who we'd have to buy/make a present for) something off her wishlist, and I have no idea what was on it again, lol. But I'll have to get that in the weekend, so I'll figure it out then.

I got my husband one of those tv's that mount under the kitchen cabinets. That way he can watch TV while fixing my grub  haha! We are doing a gift exchange thing at work (Jolene, stop reading )and I'm doing a gift basket with a movie theme -- I got three movies, popcorn, movie candy and this plastic container that looks like one of those old popcorn boxes. I might add a couple more things, too, like a bottle of wine. |

I'm getting my mom a cell phone (it's actually free 'cause it's time for an upgrade - woo!) and probably some sort of gift card. I got my step dad a Miami Dolphins mini signed helmet thingy (he wants one for some reason?).. Can't tell you what I'm getting Katie or Jadeline 'cause they both read here but I guarantee it's awesome! Next year though I think we should do a Lifeho secret Santa  We did one a few years ago and some people flaked and didn't give others presents.. so that was sucky. It went well for others though and I think it's been long enough that we could try again at some point! |

in other news i have no idea what im getting anyone except im getting my boyfriend tickets to see Wicked cause hes been dying to go so yeah.
oh and i think my sister and i are getting my dad tickets to the usc ucla game. hes hardcore usc.

^^ boo usc.  i like the secret santa idea and i have no idea what i'm getting people yet. i'm working on it perhaps, i will start my shopping in san francisco next weekend. ask me again on dec. 20 i'm a procrastinator. sigh. i also have this brilliant idea of sending out handmade cards this year (every year, i have grand plans but i never come through), but i, uh, have only made 1 so far. gotta get on that... |

Good luck with that ;D I tried that last year -- had copies of this adorable picture of my son with a drum made (my little drummer boy) and I thought I could knock them out in an hour (I only had 30 to do). Yeah, like 4 hours later I was done. I am just not crafty. haha!!
