Ok, had to tell someone this story and I thought the board would be an appropriate place. So about two months ago, my car was dead. the battery had been completely run down due to an unfortunate incident with a burrito. No big, I wasn't planning on going anywhere for a while and it was in a decent parking spot. The nice Hmong men that work for my school were kind enough to jump it, and I managed to get home for my sister's birthday just fine and back again. Then a few days after that, I let my roommate drive it to the mall to buy work pants and the VOLTS light came on and it died again. No big, the mall was cool and said it could chill there until I could get it fixed/towed...which was last week, nearly a month later. I had to go get it so I could go to Madison for Lifehouse. The alternator went. I got it towed, begged grandma for money, and $400 later, I'm good to go. We make it to Lifehouse and back fine, no troubles, but its really late when we get back, so I park where it's two hour parking during the week. No big, its the weekend, I'll move it Sunday. Well, I forgot, and Monday night when we go to take the car for a late night pizza run, its got a ticket. No big, only $8.....car won't start. Josh's girlfriend left her phone in the car after the show and when she went back to get it, she left the door cracked open, battery's run down again. I forgot on Tuesday, so I went down just now to try to jump it with my little power-starter thing, except as you can see from the time of this post, its dark out. I get it hooked up once, but there's not a flat surface for it to sit on and since its nearly 4am, no one's around to help me and I can't get them to connect right and STAY connected long enough to go and turn the car on. So I just spent 20 minutes digging around my car for a piece of paper and a pen to write a note to the infamous LaX parking nazi's, begging them to stop writing tickets to a poor college kid who can't get her car to start. I hate this car more and more. I would say f*ck it, but I really do need a car. The new alternator works and would have charged the battery just fine if Bailey had shut her damn door. Anyway, I find the story amusing in one of those "what else can go wrong" ways, and I thought other people on here may enjoy it. Hey, at least I got to go to Lifehouse, right?
