if anyone can, please PLEASE help me with my philosophy outcome. i need something like 2 more arguments for and against euthanasia (voluntary). at the moment, i've already got the slippery slope argument (voluntary will lead to involuntary) and 'whose life is it anyway?' if you can, post help before 9pm monday night, AEST, thankyou!

been there... i'm actually trying to find a way to cram all of that into a 5-10min presentation, and make it sound philosophy-ish, since i get marked on whether the arguments are logically sound or not. and i don't do logic lol.

lol i wasn't planning to. i'm currently on this one site, www.euthanasiaprocon.org, which has been good to me in terms of information. but mostly, it's sifting through the crap and putting the good stuff in a logical argument that i'm bad at and i came here cos, well, my fellow lhfs would never let me down... right? edit: lmao. as soon as i posted this, epc.org (yes, i'm lazy) showed up in the google ads thing at the top of the page.

ethics i've got a few arguments for, although i've covered pretty much all the bases: whose life is it anyway? slippery slope, life not 'worth' living, &c. economic isn't really an area i want to go into, that's kind of self-explanatory, and it's included in whose life is it anyway?. but thanks! pastoral care... is that like, care of the person when they're sick?

I dont think pastoral care should be part of that list... what about the role and professionalism of doctors who perform these procedures?.. why do they have to say yes? is it under a specific medical policy that doctors MUST treat patients and consider their needs and concerns?

uhh... i think it's seen to be more acceptable if the doctors do it on request of the patients. but there's various case studies of palliative (end of life) care gone wrong, like with this one guy (michael freeland) who was given a prescription for lethal drugs, who was then not given palliative care because his doctors didn't think he needed it anymore.

Its such a depressing topic. Iw atched this documentary on the ABC about this topic.. It was pretty scary..
