Conversation I just had with a coworker:
Him: *walks past my desk and sees the Goo Goo Dolls website up on my screen* Oh, you going to that tonight?
Me: Yeah
Him: Me too
Me: I'm not so much a Goo Goo Dolls fan, but Lifehouse is one of my favorite bands
Him: Who??
Me: Lifehouse. They're opening for Goo.
Him: Brickhouse?
Me: LIFEhouse.
Him: Lighthouse? I'm not familiar with them...
Me: LIFEhouse. L-I-F-E.
Him: *looks puzzled* I'm sure I've heard them before.
Me: They had the most played song on the radio in 2001. Hanging By a Moment.
Him: *thinking* I don't think I know that song. *thinks more* Hanging By a Lifeline?
Me: *completely exasperated* Enjoy the Goo Goo Dolls! *walks off to refill my water glass.
At least he finally got the "life" part figured out!

reminds me of the many conversations i've had with confused spanish speaking media store clerks here in Spain since I arrived.
"Hi, do you have Lifehouse?" "¿que?" "L I F E ...... H O U S E.... Lifehouse!" "¿Light hose?"
*cries*

^^LOL no no, that's a cheesy movie channel here in the states. Do you guys get Lifetime over there? If that's a dumb question, I'm sorry, I'm completely stupid when it comes to things like that....
When I first met the man that eventually would become my husband, I told him my favorite band was Lifehouse. A few weeks went by and we were IMing each other one night and he sent me a random webpage link. To a page full of lighthouses.
I really did not get it at first. I was confused so I called him and asked WTF the link was for? He was dead serious when he responded that he knew how much I loved lighthouses. I must have laughed for 10 minutes and finally was able to tell him between gasping for breath and weezing that my favorite band was LIFEhouse and that I have no weird obsession with lighthouses. I felt kind of bad because he felt like a complete moron after that....I mean, here he was trying to be sweet and send me to a webpage of something he thought I liked and I laughed for forever about it right in his face. Oh well, we laugh about it together now sometimes...

haha, that's a cool story.
And no, we don't get the Lifetime channel (I noticed it when I was over there though, lol).. I think we could probably get it as a paid channel or something, but no need for that, lol.

If he doesn't have Lifetime... how does he know that all men are evil and must be killed in a 2 hour span of time?!

When i first told my parents who the band was that i was listening to, they thought i said Lighthouse. I corrected them, and they're like, "oh LIFEhouse, ok." so everytime they ask me or tell me something about them they're like, "that band you like, Lighthouse? oh no...wait its Lifehouse." oh and when i was in a cd store one time, i noticed a cd and there actually is a band called, Firehouse. I laugh everytime i see it.

^^Walmart's website bugged me for the longest time because when you went to the page they had designated for, I believe it was the Stanley Climbfall CD, the page it actually took you to was a page for Firehouse! I emailed them about 4 or 5 times to fix it, but they never did. I mean, it's been fixed for a while now, but 4 years ago when I was e-mailing them, they never fixed it at that time.

yeah, there's Lifehouse, Firehouse, Lighthouse, Lighthouse Family, and then of course there's: Lifehouse Elements by Pete Townsend (and the Lifehouse Opera (never finished) by The Who/Pete Townsend) and there's Lifehouse/Fuse whatever exactly that might be (still not exactly sure), and there is another band called Bliss (that is not pre-Lifehouse) so I can see where it gets confusing
