wow I just saw it....they should delete some members that registered before 2005 and never really post..like all ppl below 100 or 50 posts or something like that....or they just should give some of the lifers an admin option...I don't want it to die

wow i went now there...
Our Forum is currently in maintenance mode!
Community is being upgraded to a more efficient version. We are doing everything we can to fix the problem of CPU over usage on our server. We should be finished with the upgrade later today and will let everyone know what we can still allow in the off-topic discussions.
like... i know it's expensive to keep such a board like that alive... but the way things are being solved they're gonna end with the board, at least i don't believe many users will still post over there. i only register there a few time ago so it won't be THAT different for me if the board dies, cause i wasn't attached to that board, but i know many of you posted there since like... the begining? things are getting weird :\

Haven't been here in awhile... man.
I'm a little worried about LHF. I also wish they hadn't just chopped off all the old threads after October, you know? My giant September LH review thread is gone :-( I mean I still have it saved, but those were some good times. I just wish we'd been warned before they started deleting things.

yeah.. i mean.. it was a OFFTOPIC discussion.. and i hate it that a lot of quite good threads are gone.. I mean.. the thread Cayte made about coming to see me went off on tangets every now and then but mainly it was about her coming to see me. Also she, I & Sonja talked about meeting up in Cologne.. and things like that.. it's not like it was a brainless, useless post or something.. and as for the game threads, well, it's something that keeps people drawn to a message board. Even this board can easily handle that.. and it's for free..

Let's just all be patient for now.... if the board is in maintenance mode it means that they're doing their best to keep the board up and going and healthy (sounds like I'm talking about a person lol). I'm just glad that they're on there now instead of too late after the board imploded or something.

I think it's a good thing that they're working on it, no doubt about that. It's just that I don't completely agree with the new rules/policy that they introduced before it went into maintenance

I've been staying away from that board lately because the newbie/JIH/BIH/teenybopper OMG-I-HEARD-LIFEHOUSE-ON-IN-THE-GROCERY-STORE-AND-I-FREAKED! crap is seriously grating on my nerves. I think that the new rules (that were posted for a day before they took the site down for maintenance) about what you can and can't post in the off-topic forum is a load of crap. I have a feeling I will not be even reading that board hardly ever anymore because if the new rules stay as they are, I don't agree with them. Which means I don't even have a LH board because this one is as good as dead as well. There's always all the Lifehouse freaks on MySpace at least!

I did not like the off-topic rules at all. If anything, put the darn rules in the Lifehouse section. That's where all the pointless crap posts are usually.

i mean... why not keep game threads limited to a max of 15 pages, avoid double posts/threads, emphasize that there's an edit button, make sure everyone is respectful to each other... that should be enough.. as long as someone's actually moderating, which i doubt will happen

^^ that seriously is the only way this board could work...coz the newbies don't listen to us when we say...shut the f*ck up....they will only learn when they actually see stupid posts like theirs get deleted anyways *lol*
