Oh, the pain! Someone at an audition for Idol sang "you and me". *shudders* I cringed during the whole seanse. I mean, if you intend to sing a *Lifehouse song* on the telly, you better have a decent voice. He was ruining the song!

You've got to be freakin kiddin me. Snow in Lisbon and RAIN in Åre??? Damn global warming, everything's fucked up. And there's a flood in Nord-Trøndelag. In *JANUARY*. ^^ You may not know these places but I could tell you that only 5-6 years back the general winter would last from november to april. Snow would disappear through April(used to really hate that, slush everywhere), yet there may still be snow in May. Eventual floods would happen in April/May. Now all the snow's gone before February. I just came back from Åre, a ski resort in Sweden, and the slopes had very little snow, and there was a constant drizzle of rain. It wasn't as funny as last year, powder snow all around, you should've seen the falls we had, lmao. I particularly remember the time I found my ski in a tree, lol I guess I should stop ranting now, it's just that this is something I want to do something about, even though it wouldn't make much of a difference. It's partly why I chose chemistry, as then I could perhaps do something for the enviroment, like finding ways to get rid of CO 2 or ... Oh well, I'll probably end up a teacher anyway

i know it sounds weird... but in lisbon snowed for like one hour... nothing THAT special, but on other parts of the country it really snowed a lot, all day and during the night. some roads had to be closed. and yeah... it's really weird!!!! not normal... and it snowed really a lot in parts of Portugal that i wouldn't believe if i haven't seen it! and koen... remember algarve? (i know you know the place ) imagine some parts of it full of snow... just nuts!!!! and kristin... i understand your anger... and the weather over here is getting really weird, some years ago we really had long winter season, the last years i still use summer clothes during october and sometimes november! and during summer... there are some places where you can't bear the heat... the temperature is above 40ºC! and what's surprising... some of those places were where it snowed more... this is crazy! and even now... though it's cold outside... isn't THAT cold as used to be during the winter!

well, it's not just humans that cause the global warming... if you look at history it's just like a cycle of global warming and global cooling.. we do emphasize/extrapolate it i guess.. but yeah.. i don't think there's much we can do about it anyway.. even if we would ridiculously cut back on CO2 outage, there would still be global warming.. i even think it's farting (both humans & animals) that outs the most co2, lol..

i know there's this cycle of global warming and global cooling, but we're helping to speeding it up, so there's A LOT we all could do. it wasn't supose to warm this fast

i honestly believe that the difference wouldn't be as big as many of us think.. yes, it does add to it, but i don't think cutting back on it ridiculously will change it a lot

i'm not that sure... i used to study a lot about this subject at school and we already made damages that really make the difference. we can't do nothing to change what is done, but at least we could try not to make it worse.

it would probably slow it down for how many generations? 2 or 3? .. well, to be honest, to me, that seems like nothing
