Lifehouse and Switchfoot recorded this song on Tuesday as a charity single for flood relief in Texas! Give it a listen, lyrics as best as I could get them below: [Jon] I feel it in your eyes like you're looking for a window Through the wide open skies wondering where do I begin Though if you knew how bright you shined, do you think it might change your mind? The clouds are on fire and they're telling you something that they know You shine like gold You shine like gold [Jason] Remember what you said when we drove all night from Memphis? That the headlights of your eyes were running from the tempest When the dawn broke through the black, we were laughing looking back No matter how dark the morning comes up relentless You shine like gold You shine like gold And your soul was born to shine Like a spark in the night And the dark it hides your glow When the thoughts in your mind are like thieves And they take you places worse Love is hard to believe And the aching thing that loves [??] Find it harder to breathe [??] Remember what you know You shine like gold You shine like gold And your soul was born to shine Like a spark in the night And the dark it hides your glow

Exactly what I needed to wake me up on this overcast morning:)
I love that they turned this single into an act of giving back.
I'm interested in seeing how it comes to life live in TX

Not really a fan of this song, but it's for a good cause. *shrugs*

The oooooooooohs are very reminiscent of Coldplay. The song is catchy but a little bit "meh"... anyway, as Minka said - it's for a good cause
