This "other music" forum was fairly dormant for a while, good to see it coming back a bit. I often wonder what artists LH fans consider their favourites (besides these guys of course), so I thought I'd turn it into a little thread. Follow my lead, with your favourite artists (other than Lifehouse) and your two favourite albums from each (in order, hit compilations don't count). Go! John Mayer – Room for Squares (2001), Born and Raised (2012) [singer-songwriter/rock/blues] Switchfoot – Fading West (2014), Nothing Is Sound (2005) [alt pop/alt rock] Vertical Horizon – Echoes From the Underground (2013), Go (2005) [singer-songwriter/alt rock] Dave Barnes – Loving You, Loving Me (2009), Hymns for Her (2015) [singer-songwriter/rock/rhythm] Five For Fighting – Slice (2010), The Battle For Everything (2004) [pop/rock] Howie Day – Sound the Alarm (2009), Lanterns (2015) [singer-songwriter] Rascal Flatts – Still Feels Good (2007), Feels Like Today (2004) [New Country/Pop/Rock] Checkfield – A View From The Edge (1990), Wind Water and Stone (1985) [fusion jazz]
I'll add that I consider Echoes to be the single best album that I own. It's seriously at No Name Face level of quality, and Matt's my favourite singer to boot!

RunningAway Hey, I love Some Mad Hope! I still think it's Matt's best album, looking forward to the upcoming one. I find it cool how so many Lifehouse fans are also Switchfoot fans

Yeah it's a great album. Have you ever had the pleasure to see Matt live? Amazing and hilarious.
That's true. Probably because their music is similar sounding.

I haven't seen him live but I've heard the 2006 live album, he's hilarious (maybe a bit obscene for my taste but still funny nonetheless). Come On Get Higher was the first song I heard from him, then Falling Apart, Car Crash and so on. Gone and Sooner Surrender are two of my favourites by him.
