Very very thorough 20 minute interview for SiriusXM talking all about the hiatus and philosophies behind the new record. I'll warn you know that there is quite a bit of language in this interview starting around the 10 minute mark (interviewer only, the guys as always were clean). The format reminds me of the old Toazted interviews from 2001 and 2002, which is nice. Bryce mentions that Jason called them up in September and suggested they reconvene, which is confusing as Jason said earlier on Twitter that they got back together in May. Jason mentioned that it's one of his favourite Lifehouse records, and they spoke quite candidly about the idea of solo ventures versus being in the band versus being in other bands. Bryce also compares the creation of some songs on the album to that of Broken, which is quite good to hear.

New interview for Discussions Magazine here, lots of good stuff regarding the background of the record and a few tidbits about some songs. Turns out Jude and James Newton Howard demoed what would become Hourglass over 20 years ago and it never went anywhere, and Jason took it and worked with them to finish the song. Also, Stardust will be the first Lifehouse song ever to not have Jason be a writer. The article also mentioned a few times that One For The Pain is a really good song. Jason said that about 6 years ago he was finding it hard to not look for single material and write for the label, which is quite interesting (this would have been right around the time they were working on Smoke & Mirrors).

The man didn't said nothing about hourglass I am so curious about this song specialy. I really like songs eith cinematic melodies and these kind of songs that LH have should be singles in every album
