I've spend countless hours online looking for the original, HBAM-era version of You and Me from Ean's movie All Over Again, and I've found records that it once was on the interwebs but that's the extent of it. Does anyone here have it or know where I can find it? No Lifehouse b-sides website seems to have it, and I've always been curious what it sounds like!

Hi. Robert, was it? I hope this particular version is the one you're looking for? It's a raw take recorded from the radio, so not exactly the clear version of Me You and the People. There used to be a trailer for All Over Again that used this track, I think I remember watching it on IMDB yonks ago. I don't believe we've managed to get hold of a clear studio version until they released You and Me. Let me know if the link is a little iffy, I'll upload it somewhere else if need be.

Wow, very cool (and yes, the link's fine)! A bit confused as to why the 2000 version would be on Australian radio. Or was this just a radio interview where he played the song? In which case, why would he play a live version of MYatP years before it was released? I know it was on Lifehouse-media.com before it folded, so I'm assuming that this was the one Eric had. Regardless, thank-you very much! Very appreciated Sounds cool, the different inflections he used and the softer guitar certainly feel like Blyss-era Lifehouse to me.

Sorry, I didn't mean raw as in live. I meant raw as in, it was likely recorded on a cassette or something when the song was aired on the radio (just like The Edge) I've always wondered about the Australia Uncovered bit, but then again, there was a time Lifehouse used to tour that side of the world. Heh. You're welcome, I'm glad it worked!

I was curious to hear this early version for a long time as well, thank-you idlewild for sharing it. To clarify a few details this appears to be taken from a TV broadcast of the movie All Over Again / Against Time on UK Satellite TV Service SKY, the announcer at the beginning mentions Heavy Metal, another movie and Movie Max which must have been the particular channel it was shown on, with Australia Uncovered being a show on the Sky One Channel. Blackwood referring to a presenter, amazingly I found this www.youtube.com/watch?v=M7wlnkzY6vI just to confirm it haha, you can even see Oz uncovered scheduled in the clip! Anyway it appears to have been on TV in 2002 en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Uncovered_(TV_series) and the song was part of the credits with the announcer talking over the song unfortunately!! I bought the DVD of the movie but couldn't find the song, the DVD was also released a lot later from what I can tell, and must have been re-edited, from the original 2001/2002 TV version, I think I saw a DVD of the movie on ebay with a different cover tho it was a while ago. Hopefully there's a version of the movie out there with the song intact, as it doesn't appear we'd be getting it any other way any time soon! Does anyone have any further info on the movie or the song? I have the version idlewild shared, and a version I edited from that clip, removing the announcer from the start, adding a slight fade in and out so it's not too abrupt, and I also slowed it down slightly by ~4% since it was in PAL broadcast and films are typically sped up to 25fps from 24, making them slightly higher pitched/faster, (look up PAL speedup for more info on this) to my ears it sounds more like Jason's voice, that way. thanks,
