Sadly it was becoming more and more obvious - Ben stayed in Vegas with Elvis Monroe and didn't join Lifehouse onstage during their last shows. Lifehouse posted pictures with Jason, Ricky and Bryce only, but there's no official statement from them. Today Nancy - the girl who runs Ben Carey Fans Facebook page - announced that Ben moved on to focus on his band Elvis Monroe and his other projects - he is supporting local artists and bands and promoting them, which is actually a cool thing as I witnessed it myself during my and Minka's trip to LA a year ago. Ben told us back then he's in a happy place in life and so are the guys from Lifehouse. So I think they are all in good terms and will remain friends and stay supportive. To me it is sad news, I will miss Ben's guitar solos and standing on Ben's side at Lifehouse concerts, but I wish him the best. I think it would be a nice way to say "thank you" for his hard work for the band if us fans would spread the word / share the link / purchase his band's Elvis Monroe new single "Rebel" : itunes.apple.com/us/album/rebel/id933950003?i=933950104&ign-mpt=uo%3D4Thanks Ben, good luck!

As the board advocate for Sean...BRING SEAN BACK!!
Ben was a good player, but just a little too showy for my personal taste. It just didn't quite click with me with the rest of the band.
Sean was perfect for the SC era...and it's time to bring him and the badass scratching intro to Quasi.

It's sad that Ben has left Lifehouse. Perhaps the lack of an official statement means that the door is still open if he would want to come back? Also, I agree with the badass scratching intro to Quasi!

I am still very saddened about Ben leaving, but it was not really a surprise to Julia or me after talkign with him a lot last year in Cali. I am happy that he is in a good place in his life and wish him all the best of the world and will spport him and his music, because it is really great what he is doing with the Elvis Monroe guys. I'm a fan since their beginning and this won't change now.

While Ben was a unique personality and really added something to the band on both a musical and personal level I think he is making the right choice to focus on something that he feels he can go for 100% instead of switching between two different things. It is probably best for both him and Lifehouse because now they can both find something stable and it won't turn into a conflict.
I'm glad to hear that there's no bad blood and that it's just the way things naturally went. I will miss Ben as a part of Lifehouse just like I miss previous members of the band, who all brought something unique to the sound and image of Lifehouse, however I am also confindent Lifehouse will be able to find a new, permanent (for the forseeable future) guitarist that fits.
Ben, I wish you all the best in your endeavors and I'm sure your path will eventually cross with many Lifehouse fans still.

I always thought he was a nice guy and all, and he was always a pleasure to meet.
However, I personally never thought he fit, and I was never a fan. Not disappointed to see him move on.
Doesn't take away from him being a really nice guy, though, and I wish him the best with Elvis Monroe.

I'll miss Ben a lot...but I totally get why he is no longer with Lifehouse. Also, I think with Elvis Monroe he is a much better fit, that just seems to click. I miss Sean tooooo:p
