Lifehouse is on hiatus but Ben Carey is a kinda busy man right now, not only with his band Elvis Monroe. He supports a few local bands/ artists and Minka and I got a chance to see them play. From all the artists we saw two bands caught our attention and Ben asked us to spread the word between Lifehouse fans, maybe you'll like to listen to something new. The first one is called ELKO . The funny thing about them is they switch places, so sometimes the singer becomes the drummer, and the bass player and guitarist sing (they helped Ben with "You and me" and "Hanging by a moment" at his charity event). The lead singer Matt's voice sounds a bit too much like Mumford and Sons, but hey, it's his voice, and he uses it well Here's their Facebook page: www.facebook.com/elkomusic?ref=profileThe next band is called The Union Drifters. Wow, these "kids" surprised us the most. They're rather a folk band but the great thing about them was that despite young age they already developed their own unique style and they conquered our hearts immediately. They sounded better than other 'adult' acts we heard that night. Their Facebook is here: www.facebook.com/theuniondrifters?ref=profile
