The reason why I ask is because I'm interested in contacting whichever company (Dreamworks/Universal/Geffen) to find out when and if we can get No Name Face remastered and/or on vinyl (I would pay ridiculous amounts of $$$ for that on vinyl).
On a side note, does anyone know of a company that would press this album on vinyl? I know of a couple of companies that press older albums from a band's disco. but I wasn't sure if maybe anyone of you were interested in helping make this a possibility?
Update 5/9: I just sent an email over to Broken Circle Records who is a company known for releasing records for bands in a very limited amount. Hopefully they will be able to provide more information.

The rights are with several different parties, the way I always understood it, so it may be difficult. I think Jason owns several rights, Dreamworks (which falls under Universal Music since 2003) owns several rights and I'm not sure if there are even more parties involved or not, but there might be.

Remastered by who? Jude Cole? Hell no!
NNF is still the best record ever made if you ask me. Even the cover is perfect. It's just very special to me.

I know there are quite a few people on here that aren't too fond of Jude Cole as manager/producer for Lifehouse. But I don't think this thread was intended in that light. It was an inquiry as to how one could go about finding information to see if it'd be possible to let NNF be remastered/released on vinyl, which is an interesting thought!
Jude Cole has meant a lot for Lifehouse when they were just breaking the scene and I also think it's kind of nice to see the loyalty Lifehouse/Jason shows towards him. Not everything Jude does is bad and I don't think it's fair to take every opportunity you can think of to just say negative things about him. I totally understand and respect that you aren't happy with the track record of the past couple of albums, the way things are developing from a production/management standpoint. I really do get it and on a lot of points I agree, but lets not make this a personal vendetta against Jude. He doesn't deserve that.
If you want to criticize the choices/paths/content, go ahead, but don't fill every thread with it. I'm not directing this to one person in particular, because there are several people here with that sentiment, so please don't take it personal. It's just that this was the latest example and that is why I'm responding here.

He can be the best producer and manager ever lived and he can do whatever he wants with this band as he just stays away from producing their music. I know I've said this so many times before and I said it again because Shawn was talking about remastering.
I know this won't change anyone's opinion or anything else but hey this place seems to be dying which can be understood that LH might be losing their old fan base.
I might sound arrogant but I'm disappointed that I'm losing the band which was very special to me. There is many reasons for that but that wont change current situation.

Just FYI, Jude isn't a mastering engineer.

Just FYI, Jude isn't a mastering engineer. Yeah but I think that producer have a big role how the band sounds? Yet again I cannot be 100% sure who or what is the biggest reason for the current sound but least I could wish for is a different producer just to see how would they sound then. Sorry for this offtopic and there is no sense to continue on this topic anyone.

I do not feel this board is dying at all..it's quiet but there's not so much going on in the LH world, we all have our own lives, etc. But that does not mean we are not there anymore. OK: too much off topic..soooo *swoosh* back to topic:p sorry I cannot be much help there.

I just wanted to add that I check this site every day to see if there is anything new in the LH world. Since there isn't I tend not to post much, if not all. I have been a fan since the very beginning and I was also on SickCycle back in the day as well; I miss that site. Anyway, I agree with celticflower; we have our own lives, but I think we all come together when certain events happen. For example, a new album coming or an upcoming concert, etc. I am a fan and still will be a fan, even if I don't necessarily agree with the direction they may be heading/sounding towards, but they were there for me when I needed them; I won't give up on them This is so off topic, but I never thought about putting this album on a vinyl!! Great idea, keep us posted!

So while I was trying to contact their label regarding a vinyl release (Geffen/Interscope) I noticed something rather unsettling. Geffen.com now redirects to Interscope.com which does not list Lifehouse as an artist on their label.
Now since Lifehouse released an album 6 months ago with no headlining tour and has been relatively quite on the touring front are we to assume they lost their label? Their twitter/facebook has been pretty active so I assume things are still rolling along but these last few months have felt rather off. The future has never felt so uncertain (IMO of course!).
Feel free to add to this...

It redirects to interscope for over a year I think. They merged awhile ago but they haven't really updated their stuff. That doesn't have much to do with the relation between Lifehouse and the label. A lot of other bands are missing on those lists as well.
All of these labels are part of Universal Music Group, hence the press releases for these artists coming from UMG, not from the sublabels.
