In my opinion they should really work hard on it, I didn't even want to post the video from Pittsburgh... The one Christy recorded in New York sounds much better but they need to put emotions into the song now. I hope it'll sound better and better with each show. Christy's video : www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=DbmIyNMTeMc

www.youtube.com/watch?v=EgvRoqKMduk up until the first chorus I like it very much..but after that Jason is one) straining his voice and 2) just plainly off key..then the verse is nice again.. but it feels as if he is racing to make it..

the sound system in the MLB fan cave is kind of distorting as well. I've heard a lot of performances from in there and a lot of them sound weird. But yeah, the performance of the song needs quite a bit of finetuning. They figured it out for Halfway Gone and other songs that are hard on Jason's voice. I still think these songs don't come natural for Jason, which is one of the reasons why I think they don't come across with the same amount of emotion, which makes me feel they should stick closer to the core of who they are musically, because it's hard to sell something that's not you. Hopefully that analysis isn't accurate and I'm sure they can figure it out again, but it's just the way I feel.

Jason has his vocals under control better. Bryce seems a little shaky on the background vocals now and then, but the song does come off a little better in this unplugged strumming version. Yet still, I don't really get the feeling their heart is in the song. But most definitely the best live version I've seen/heard so far. Thanks for sharing

Ohhhh! This sounds really good!!!
I like this version a lot better because it's not completely drum driven and I love how it builds up. I personally think they should completely SKRAP trying to make it sound anything like the produced version with Natasha and just make it their own.
Go back to basics and just sing a true acoustic version with the vocals as the absolute core of the song.
The "Ooohs" that Bryce has to do... I think they should change them to something in a lower register that still sounds complementary but is not exactly what was recorded.
At the end with the improvs that Jason does... that's when it gets really exciting!!! I like that a LOT! That's when you felt like they really started owning it.

Oh yeah, somebody should free Bryce (and our ears) from that oooh oooh misery It seems simplicity is the key... and I don't want to hear that empty drum sound from previous versions anymore!

Thanks to the person on youtube who posted the 106.5 recording...it does sound a lot better...i feel like rick relayed my opinion about a few things they needed to clean up such as lowering an octave so jasons raspyness comes out (i dont know anything about octaves, but it sounds lower!!)

I really hated the first video/version of BTR, but the guys are getting better and better with each performance and I hope by Oct 30, when they'll on Leno, it will be amazing.
