Hahaha, yes, don't care for him or his performance, but it's great that it made LH trending and I hope they will gain new fans......but please not pushing LH again into the christian corner.

I've been waiting and waiting for someone to see the light and sing a Lifehouse song on American Idol! It was neat to see that the song meant so much to him. Finally someone UNDERSTANDS! But of course, Jason Wade just owns that song, it can't be touched. Colton's performance made me realize (again) how great Jason Wade really is. <3

I actually thought he did a pretty good rendition. Didn't change too much, but enough to make it sound a little different, so that he wasn't just covering a song, but actually singing it. The main thing about everything is bringing across the sentiment in the music and lyrics and he did that nicely.
Not so sure if AI has the right audience for Lifehouse, but any exposure is basically good exposure if you need an audience as your market. So if Colton happens to stay in the race for awhile that might open up some promotional opportunities for LH, by referring to their song being on Idol.

he did a good job but what I really liked was Randy Jackson, a judge, saying he LOVES the song and the band!

he did a good job but what I really liked was Randy Jackson, a judge, saying he LOVES the song and the band! that was nice, but he immediately continued with MuteMath and Switchfoot, not even mentioning Lifehouse's name, so that was a little weird to me.

I guess his performance was pretty good. But I don't care much for his voice. It sounds a bit too clean, at least for me. Reminds me a bit of a boyband singer.
Oh well, who cares. He got Lifehouse trending on Twitter. That's all that matters ;D

It was nice to hear a LH song on American Idol, but I was a bit disappointed that he chose that song. I was hoping he would have chose one of their rock songs vs. their ballad, especially because Colton kept talking about Everything being his favorite worship song. LH is not a religious band! Yes, their songs can be intepreted that way, and maybe even that's the way Jason meant them to be interpreted, but he did not label his group as a religious group. They are a rock band! And this is coming from a die hard Catholic. But, don't get me wrong, I was so excited to hear a LH song on AI. That's the only reason I watched it that night! Yeah for LH getting some exposure they deserve!!!!

He is by no means as amazing as Jason Wade, but I thought he did good. I loved that he got emotional talking about the song. I never watch American Idol but if they are singing Lifehouse songs, I'm tuning in!
